Ah, what? Like the sexual harassment and assault events are accidents and they just need to read body language more effectively?

Daya! Why are you cut off! </3

I thought that about the title too - until I watched the first episode and saw that that's on purpose. They're mocking Piper's world, being upset that she can't bring her cell phone in, being upset that she cut out a piece of her hair. Trying to stay fashionable and proper in prison. The title is actually brilliant

Well, some black people do kill white people because they're white, or target them for robbery because they're white. That really doesn't undermine the point here, which is A) racism so ingrained that a black teen looks 'suspicious', which the public somehow sympathizes with, and B) the farce of a trial that had

Oh, Jesus Christ. Sorry. Thank you.

He's not being charged with the murder of a fetus, though, so how does that work? That's being filed under the aggravated assault charges, I believe.

Wow. Thank you for that. Kennedy v. Louisiana actually wasn't just about death for death:

This is in Florida though, right?

Hoooo boy.

I agree that the death penalty is wrong.

This is beautiful. You are so right.

And yet somehow, in Canada, we have self-defense laws that don't end up with teenagers shot in the street by the local Neighbourhood Watch.

My law and Florida law are not the same, so acting as if "the law" is an objective variable is inaccurate. Further, people are afraid all of the time. Old white ladies are afraid of teenagers they see walking down the street. Should they be allowed to kill them? I'm afraid when a man walks close behind me at night.

My point is that basing legislation on something that isn't the "typical scenario" is laughable, at best. Writing legislature that acts as if the extreme cases are normal results in meaningless and preventable deaths. I'm glad you live in the US now - you clearly belong there.

Again, I'm sorry, but your American is showing.

I like this!

Come to Canada! We aren't going broke and our politicians are douchebags about much more subtle things, like mandatory minimum sentencing for juvenile offenders. :)

Oh. Thank you for this.

WHAT?

This statistic is really gross and sneaky. Did you realize that Zeitgeist came out and went viral in 2007? And that Zeitgeist actually had some pretty solid evidence and arguments that information leading up to 9/11 was ignored - not that the U.S. actually wanted it to happen in some grand conspiracy theory, just that
