True! Although that last couple of lines might apply to the general population of people in serious debt, rather than just students. :)

Wha? Did you respond to the wrong comment? I was responding to WalkingonSunshine's introduction of the 'people are in debt because they party and travel' thing. The phrase "the privilege you have" isn't in their comment at all...?

Thank you! That`s such a great idea!

Yeah! I`ve heard this is bad in a number of programs - teaching, police foundations, media-related jobs like film producing, along with all of those social science and humanity degrees that don`t have a specific job (besides teacher) associated with them.

Thank you! I never thought of it this way - but it will probably become increasingly important as we move further away from school and further into the workplace, where, even if we land our 'ideal job', it won't be as sparkly as we imagined.

This!

The discussion of 'privilege' in this context is hilarious, anyways. I know people who consider going to university at all a privilege - largely people from a reserve who have not had the resources to even finish high school on time, let alone get the grades to get into post-secondary, regardless of their actual

This is a huge generalization. I know the kind of people that you're referring to, but they aren't the only ones. I'm from Canada, too, and with a good university's tuition being around $6,000 per year, it's very possible to work your way through school with little or no debt, if you are dedicated.

HOWEVER. Doing that

It IS weird, but the answer isn't as obvious as it seems to us Olds! If you're the one Young (sorry, laughed so hard at that) who DOESNT play the game, people think something is wrong with you. Have this argument with my sisters (19 and 21) all the time!

You have a point, but for this particular interview, it didn't seem like she was actually rude TO the interviewer. She didn't smile a lot (some people really don't, and Betty Draper doesn't give her a lot of practice!), curled her lip a bit TO HERSELF about the chicken fingers, was simultaneously private and

... ARE YOU KIDDING ME.

Oh, yes! You're totally right. Sorry, bad wording :D agreed!

This! Yes! Me too, LuftWaffle. Me too.

Plus, people wore more clothing. "There's got to be a happy medium between wearing a burka and running around half-naked," said Przybyszewski.

Favourite part of this article: "Thanks for the evidence". Yeah!!

Ooh, that does sound good. Now I want to watch it!

Ah, yes, but they aren't! That's the thing. When it's a new phenomenon, the fans are in charge, but as the companies start investing millions in these projects, they also gain more control (ex. introducing more T&A for the sake of the audience, dumbing down storylines to appeal to non-fans, taking out the gritty parts

I don't know if anyone else has said this (I cringe at going through the 58 other responses to check!), but the Free Kate protesters are trying to get people in this situation absolved of their crimes, regardless of gender or sexuality. So, while you're totally right IMO (assuming that this would be ignored because

Agreed! And for those of us that like flashy special effects, they're even putting huge budgets into TV now, a la Game of Thrones. AND they last for so much longer!

Totally agree with you on the evolution of the 'rom com', although there are movies with female protagonists that match the 'male-centric' ones you mentioned (ex. Bridesmaids?), although not as many. As someone else on here said, the shift has been toward irreverent humour instead of mushiness.

Ditto on horror movies! They're so hard to watch these days. The writer and director have to be very skilled to get around all of the obvious solutions modern-day tech offers!
