Exactly.

On the other hand....

Down south of you groceries are so expensive at Freddies that I never even try! The two nearest me are pretty fancy (the grotty one was torn down and replaced with a Walmart Neighborhood Market). And though sometimes I do like a little traditional one-stop-shopping, I can sure get better prices at Winco.

I noticed that too—almost like she googled regional stores and left it at that. I’m not even from Texas and I know HEB is everybody’s store!

Our close family friends who are far wealthier than us always shop at the cheapest grocery stores like Cosco. The Millionaire next door thing is real.

Our local-fanciest-store when I was a kid was Natures, or Zupans, and when I went in with my mom we got the dirtiest looks. We were NOT artsy enough to shop there. (Artsiness is what old school Portlanders gate-kept.) I pass as an artsy Portland type better than my mom did, so I can shop at Whole Foods or whatever now

I mean, how dare suburbanites listen to music? How dare musicians tap into a new market that will help them make more money as artists. How dare Starbucks do things successfully that the article set up as having been done for literal decades before they got into it?

same.

“(If this sentence makes sense to you, congratulations, you need a vacation.)

So...if we read the columns you guys are paid to write and remember them, then we suck.

If what you write is a problem, I’m thinking I’m not the one who needs to fix it.

Ha! I’ll name them and then they’ll know I actually think they are asshole. ;D

I care deeply about important stuff, and I care shallowly about shallow stuff. Shallow stuff is fun and sometimes we need fun! I agree. Joan can write but clearly hates writing Dirt Bag and makes us hate reading it. Pass the torch to someone like Kelly who writes about the royals!

I know a couple of people who are geniuses AND assholes!

Famous daughter of Teresa Giudice, Antonia, had something to say about her dad on TikTok.”

“Famous daughter of Joe and Melissa Gorga, Antonia, had...”

Antonia is Teresa’s niece.

That was my first thought. Put on your swim trunks.

Brands matter on those resales sites, and they seem like they do in specialty thrifting places like Platos Closet of Buffalo Exchange, but I don’t shop for clothes enough to know if it matters at the more ‘regular’ thrift stores.

I was a teen in the grunge era. I got a 1960s 2 piece linen dress for $2 and a wool coat that made me feel like Mary Poppins for 75 cents. (I made $5.75 an hour at Taco Bell.)

A few years later when I was in college, prices at thrift stores were so high we cried about how the grunge aesthetic (which had been mine in

There was a neighbor up north he was maybe getting it on with. News came up about it then the cycle suddenly shifted to anti-Megan news. Here’s the first link from my lazy google: https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/did-royals-cover-prince-william-174057126.html#:~:text=In%20early%202019%2C%20rumors%20began,less%20of%20by%

I like how they slow down on the big big tree then jump transition to the fire, just in case we forgot they can burn it all down whenever they want.

power play, that. ;D

Also: I do like the aesthetics. Very PNW/Portland approved.

Yes.

Dressing well, education, and being adventurously well travelled all require lot of extra cash.
