I second this. Do it yourself. Handmedowns. Goodwill. Nothing new unless there were no second hand options. But solidly middle class and at least my parents were perfectly comfortable being with their friends who had a great deal more money than they did.

Good gosh yes. But what isn’t gelato superior to?

Ooh! I’m sorry! I thought I was echoing your sentiment. They were treated as a product from a very early age and whatever they does or says now is pretty understandable as far as I can see.

Sorry if my comment felt like some kind of contradiction to yours!

It would have been better if I’d just made my own comment, I

If anyone on earth would have a hard time feeling comfortable with their adult womanhood it would be someone who was groomed by their parents and sold to an elderly man in their teens. It would be very difficult to come back from that with any sense of self and comfort in ones sexual self.

I like Terro myself. :D

By all accounts and appearances she loved him so deeply. This is a crushing loss.

ha ha! seriously!

Her cousin has a marijuana farm in Oregon. Perhaps they can franchise? The Firm surely wouldn’t hate farming....

Ha ha! Yes! Or if Megan re-opened her lifestyle blog and Harry did absolutely nothing.

Imagine the outrage if instead of producing content (ie, using his wealth to launch careers for other people), working for a non-profit that speaks to his passions, and sitting on the board of another, he was buying a tequila company or a vineyard like movie stars do, or renovating property like Vanilla Ice, or

Harry Windsor-Mountbatton. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t.

It’s a pity about the college degree thing—not that he doesn’t have one, but that an often useless peice of paper (I have a history degree. It’s one of the useless ones) can weigh more heavily than 8 years of service in the military.

Now, I’m a liberal pacificst who thinks our military spending should go towards

I try not to make assumptions about things I have absolutely no information on.

But, I would say that even a carefully protected soldier who did two terms of duty during war has skills that will transfer to the workplace.

Amen.

It’s hard to switch careers. My husband wants to and doesn’t feel like he has any transferable skills after 20+ years in a pretty specific industry, so he’s getting some outside training. But personally, I think it a career coach could have cleared up his misunderstanding about what he can do with his life’s work and

“Military” is a pretty transferable skill set. It’s not nothing, for sure. And establishing the Invictus Games is a HUGE bit of work experience that sounds like it will transfer well to his new work.

All of his work promoting mental health as a royal is also exactly right in line with this new job.

I’m not entirely

You’re my hero and I came here to say this same kind of thing. :D

Interesting update: Kylie has responded. Said she’s met the guy and he seemed nice. Saw his go fund me and finished off for him. It was a go fund me for $10k that has $6k in it so she topped it off to $11k and threw it on her stories in case anyone else wanted to help or whatever.

Somehow...this seems nice. I don’t

I agree that she definitely doesn’t have to pay for anybodies anything. But the optics are so much like dropping a quarter in his mug of coffee, you know? If he was going to support him she ought to have just supported him.

I thought of the car first too! Then I thought she could just sell a few Birken bags which go for around $15k or so each....but either one would work!

That’s definitely the impression I have!
