Gonna have to agree with Nowalk here :-) . The Grand Budapest has been the movie I've most enjoyed this year, but it may be that it's because I haven't made much of an attempt to see many others. But It was a charming film, beautifully rendered, and very neatly produced. I'm a sucker for a good friendship arc.

ok. these nominations are… odd. wtf with Downton Abbey?

Maybe they thought that's how you begat another Ford?

we may not have many motorcycle doctors. but an overabundance of moped doctors. those guys aren't nearly as rogue as they think they are.

One series I really enjoyed for the idea that the means to the end was much more important than the end itself was Damages. How about spacing it all out like Sherlock does? Each season for Gatiss and Moffat is like shooting 3 feature films. I can imagine all the work that goes into True Detective must be similar.

i got the same idea from his line.

That's really great news! I wish you the best of luck at your new position. Goodness, I can't imagine the excitement you must have had getting that call. Congrats!

Welcome welcome welcome! we'll be happy to have ya! Mother's Fried Chicken is pretty good. Stop at Peche! It's amazing amazing (and affordable) seafood. And if you ever want to class it up while here, do brunch at Commander's Palace and get the quail (and 25 cent martinis). OMG.

as soon as one's over we start whiting a new one.

I literally spit out my tea while reading this. Your post made my day.

DOES NO ONE THINK OF APPLESAUCE?!

Nah. If anything, Benedict Cumberbatch being in this movie will take away from any possibility of a new season of Sherlock before 2016. And those fangirls can't have that.
