The media actually hasn’t assigned a stupid -gate term to this whole thing, likely because it was expected. That’s usually reserved for “instant” news that cause both sides to yell a lot, or to increase interest in a non-story (e.g. “pizzagate”), though I guess “Burgergate” wasn’t useful enough for the ad revenue.
