Bingo.  It’s not realistic that the dealer would even have a model optioned out the way you want.  I test drove before purchase and then optioned out the model the way I wanted it.  

I would love to go to the dealer to just do a test drive, then go home and order what I want from the comfort of my home and have it just show up at my front door.

I dont know. I bet over half the population agrees that being shown something that cost, on average, $35k and is likely your second largest expenditure is an attractive sales tactic.
