So surely Ralph Lauren is the buyer considering he owns the only known matching black supercharged Type 57 SC Atlantic Coupe?

Weird. I came here to say the exact opposite. I thought the continuation of the wheel design onto the tires looked really cool.

That’s also the reason that my sister bought herself a 3-series droptop when she got her first professional job after college.  She’ll never admit it, but 90210 is 100% the reason.

Agree. I was in my early 20's but I noticed it immediately because like everyone else my age, I at least had this 80's era poster on my wall.

This is a preview of how I will eulogize you some day.

What a Little Bastard.

Yah, Luke Perry did have a bit of a James Dean thing going on, especially for that time frame.

I feel like this is a flawed and mostly worthless report. Why? If I’m reading it correctly, their data points only come from cars that were sold. As cars climb higher in mileage, their value drops. As value drops, two things happen - they are less likely to be fixed when they break and so are scrapped instead of sold,

ummm hate to break it to you. That’s a MATV, this has been around for a while and is larger MRAP.

Sometimes with hilarious results.

Other way around there, buddy.

It is a prototype. Prototypes don’t have to meet production safety standards. Also, as others have pointed out, they aren’t using the F-150s frame, suspension, or drivetrain — only the body.

Can you explain that? I can’t see anything wrong with driving around a vehicle with a Ford badge on it for R&D purposes. They aren’t selling the mules or trying to present them as something they are not.

I think they are using the bodies (cabs & beds) with their own chassis.

How so? They bought used Ford F150's, put their own motor in (i know I’m simplifying that part) and are now testing their motors

If I saw this truck driving down the street, I would have no reason not to believe it is a Ford test mule. They did a good job grafting the body on. I would be fooled by this.

No offense, but this is kind of old news. It also doesn’t really fit the F150 perfectly as they had to use an extended cab with a 5.5 foot bed, which you can only get that combo from Ford as a Raptor.

you mean its the current F150's styling direction on the rangers body shell.

At this rate, we’ll see a new Ranger before the Bronco.

Beat me to it.
