I’m not loving the new Dave. He seems a little too self righteous, too full of himself, too in love with his own pontifications. Some of all that is a good thing but I think he’s laying in on a bit thick now and it’s cutting into his comedy.

The final 10 episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which will surely include one Halloween Heist episode, one Pontiac Bandit episode, and one Adrian Pimento episode, is coming later this year (most likely).

Those are the same words I’d use. I’m especially sad we have to wait at least 7 or 8 more months. But it makes sense, because it was strange there was no mention of the show when NBC rolled out its mid-season schedule.

I really wanted it to go out with a nine episode ninth season.

Oh, A.V. Club, you get yourself so worked up about these stupid little awards and THEY DON’T MEAN ANYTHING. None of these awards groups have any POWER. This is just some bullshit they made up and you cling to it like it’s the word of God.  

Because it gave you something of no consequence to write about when you needed content and there was no other content.

I think it’s definitely a little goofy, but as soon as his former classmates started saying this meant David Hogg was now a Capitalist™ supporting “mass exploitation, genocide, child labor, slavery” they rocketed past goofy into patently ridiculous and unserious. Let the guy make his trolling, somewhat ill-advised…

I’d watch RED in space.

Gethard did a very funny comedy set called Taylor Ham, Egg and Cheese, which is all New Jersey material. (And if you get the title reference, you will probably enjoy the album.)

Luckily I think the odds of them managing to schedule both Elisabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany for another months-long shoot are pretty low: film actors usually like to keep doing features lest casting agents start to think of them as “tv actors”.

I really hope there is no season 2.  This show really seems like a great idea for a limited series but keeping it going on and on will suck
