You think there would come a point where I stopped deriving enjoyment from Snyder bashing, but it shows no sign of abating.

It’d be nice if Wonder Woman could be an amazing film... but I don’t have high enough hopes to gamble a cinema ticket on it. WB/DC have now made 3/3 shit films; if WW gets incredible reviews in week 1 I’ll go see it in week 2, but otherwise I’m staying away from that infuriating, toxic franchise.

It’s no secret some people are already feeling superhero film fatigue.

I love Charlie Brooker’s Screenwipe and Newswipe. Just a shame he has become less bitter in the more recent episodes. I do want a lot more Barry Shitpeas and Philomena Cunk though.

The highest temperatures were consistently over the planet’s Great Red Spot, an ever-present storm system larger than two Earths.

Please, explain to me how Willow is a fantasy. Other than a power fantasy when she becomes a superpowered witch, of course- which is absolutely unrelated to her sexuality and in line with every single character in the series. There is not a hint of titillation or objectification in her portrayal; on the other hand, it

Thank you for articulating this better than I can at the moment.

I love how Joss Whedon has gone recently from the face and routine hero of the Progressive Side of Fandom to a crypto-male chauvinist who *may* (or maybe not; I mean, even for 90's standards his works were not THAT forward thinking(1), amirite?) have had some saving graces like, decades ago, but he’s soooo a sexist

For me, there are two scenes that really stand out:

LOL! Sure it is. And I’ll repeat it too. An equation that posits to predict the frequency of life developing elsewhere in the universe is hogwash, and your attempt to refute what I said amounts to a hill of rat turd.

“Belief” is a powerful force and is very hard to dislodge. When you believe something you tend to look for evidence to support your beliefs. Believers are optimists. A good scientist is not an optimist, but should be a realist. A good scientist should always be trying to break what conventional wisdom thinks is

Sorry, everything you wrote amounts to a hill of rat turd.

No, creating an equation that, in fact, reveals absolutely nothing about the frequency of life or its possible existence elsewhere in the universe but then promoting it as though it does is the very definition of hogwash.

I was mostly with you till you got to Daredevil. You did the typical rope a dope: how dare they make the Hand stereotypically Asian (they’re essentially taken right off the pages of the comics in their characterization by the way) and why do they have to be Asian at all. This fun little argument gets to criticize no

“with Lucas seemingly joining the show as a semi-regular”

Oh fuck no. That’s the worst news I’ve heard all day. :(

Ok, what’s your point? He still wasn’t using the V3Max pictured above.

I thought Stuart Gordon's Dagon was pretty solid (if actually based on The Shadow over Innsmouth). One surprisingly gruesome scene, and one unfortunate CGI shot, but solid.

A solid list, but woefully lacking in foreign cult favorites. That would be a great topic for another post, please. I'll just nominate one of my cult faves, Christopher Gans' BROTHERHOOD OF THE WOLF.
