til: Peter Dinklage was playing a real person in Pixels.
She would also have to give a rat’s rear end about his opinion. This trend toward being offended on behalf of others is more than a little out of hand.
While being mean to people isn’t right, I still think it’s important for society to maintain that unhealthy lifestyles are bad. Unhealthily overweight people should feel like, “Dang, I really need to do something about myself,” and make changes for the better, not just look at themselves and unwittingly think, “this…
Um... you know, I know that “fat shaming” is a thing, but the Zora Queen’s curse didn’t make her just “fat”. If you look at her cursed size compared to her normal size (where she’s just a bit taller than the other Zoras), the Cursed Queen’s about TEN TIMES BIGGER. So if her normal size was about 120 pounds, that would…
To quote a very wise man: “I could make a video titled “fat people are fat”, and fat people would get offended by it. Dog that’s like me calling you by your first name. You’re fat, the fuck you want me to do. I call a doctor a doctor, a lady a lady, a little girl a young thug...you’re fat”.
There’s a lot of assumptions about OP there.
I disagree. It should be true to the original text, and if folks don’t like that, well, they should. Not everything needs to be politically correct and emotionally sensitive these days.
Yeah for good reason too. It’s unhealthy to be fat, that’s why it’s looked down upon. It’s unhealthy to smoke cigarettes, that’s why it’s looked down upon. It should be looked down upon. Obesity rates are high in the US because of things like this.
As a fat person myself, I didn’t see the problem. I would read it as the Zora Queen being vain. And the Zora guards want the problem solved because the Queen wants the problem solved, and she’s the queen, so you do what she says (even if one of the guards thinks she looks better in her unaltered form)
Link should’ve said “She looks unhealthy. I’m concerned she’s at risk of heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, liver disease, kidney disease, or diabetes.”
This will probably trigger some people’s censorship radar, but I’m not certain it’s deserving of any particular ire. I would generally want to preserve jokes through translation barriers when possible, regardless of who and what they offend, but Nintendo’s free to do what they want with it. It’s not really gameplay or…
Oh my god. It’s not predatory. Fuck. He kept the game x number of days. It costs x dollars per day to keep said game. He returned it. He got charged the price of that There is nothing predatory about this. It’s just simple math and common sense.
“You realize it’s not the buds that are doing the translating, but the app on your phone, right?”
Not sure I agree with your assessment of the “truth bombs” It seems like an invalid comparison to me. Arcades are pay to play, and your play was theoretically infinite, based on your skill. Microtransactions are pay to skip waits, pay for premium currency, to buy things, and yes, for extra lives.
With touchscreens? No. I’ve never met a game with touchscreen controls I wouldn’t rather play with more traditional controls.
Don’t text and drive, Jesus Christ! It’s just as bad as drinking and driving, unless you are just talking about at red lights.
Even while driving or walking (come on, everyone does it)
