The introductions at the end of TLJ really pulled me out of the movie. As audience members, we had already been introduced to all of the characters in a different movie so we would just assume all of the characters working together had met by the next movie.

The final trilogy would be about Luke rebuilding the Jedi while Leia turned the Alliance into a new version of the Republic. The final confrontation wouldn’t occur until Ep. IX.…

I get the feeling I’ll enjoy it as well, despite all the complaints. I thought Kingsglaive was quite enjoyable, and it helped immerse me in the world, and make me care more for the characters’ motivation and journey. I really can’t see myself being disappointed in the game from what I’ve seen so far.
