@bawheid: True, they look like they are filled with shredded gold leaf.

@Shevek: I agree with your final point about the mental aspect of arousal. It's been said that the brain is actually the primary sex organ in both men & women.
I enlarged # 3 to full size, and when I did so I noted that there was a third child at the foot of the slide. This kid looks like a ghost, but I'm sure it was due to him being in motion when the picture was taken.
While I was extremely skeptical about this movie concept when I first heard about it on io9, I'm beginning to look forward to it. The CGI images are decent in the trailers I've seen, and the concept if far-fetched is at least loosely explainable by genetic-engineering (unlike "Ghost Shark").
@xnorwaks: You might try Haldemen's "The Forever Peace" it's very different, but examines the consequences of war on both the warriors and society.
@WookieLifeDay: Now that you mention it, it does remind me of that.
This is an amazing fortress, but of course we knew the ancient Peruvians were expert stone masons.
@kleer001: Remember the old saying: "Darkness hides a multitude of sins."
@Foohy: Maybe they were cool when they were SiFi, but now that they have morphed into SyFy the most original and exciting thing they can come up with is Sharktopus.
@Charlie Lesoine: Sadly, they probably have done research that indicates people will indeed watch this. I grieve to think that they have correctly assessed that situation. Reality is taking over TV due to low production costs and higher ratings. Lowest common denominator TV.
@Tyrunn: Those of us not in the UK usually can't access any iPlayer video content. You can (as I understand) use a proxy server located in the UK to bypass this limitation, but I've personally never had any success with this approach.
@amygdala: I'm glad you explained that particular award for me. I was scratching my head as to how he was a fan writer, when he clearly has been a professional author for many years.
@serenada: I'm absolutely with you on keeping it raunchy and real. Since its reportedly going to be on Stars, which is a premium subscription channel like HBO, Showtime, etc., I think it could be as wild as they want. Captain Jack's pansexuality is too much a part of his character to tone down.
@AdoraBelle: A small sea anemone which has detached from its substrate. The phallic looking part is its base, which would normally be attached to a rock or whatever.
@Snafu77: The "Ho" to "Housewife" reaction is chemically catalyzed by a small circular amount of gold.
@g.blazers1: This is really a good point. I thought that was one of the best two-parters in Dr. Who history. It had it all, creepy gas mask people, alien nano-tech, World War II London, Captain Jack in a invisible spaceship, and it ends where Dr. Who saves everyone (as he said "No one dies this time.").
@Charlie Jane Anders: Well, wouldn't 42 would be more appropriate for io9?
@out.of.cheese.error: I want to see Sister Clairice go pro! She's got a serious score to settle with Barnabas, and I'd like to see her do it with a large knife.
@thebluepill: The blind albino penguins are from the original story by H. P. Lovecraft. If I remember correctly, they evolved or were bred by the Old Ones to live in their subterranean city on the sunless sea. They may have been a food source for the Old Ones or their Shoggoths.
This movie looks like it could be more fun than a barrel of monkeys!
