I see the problems as 1) the Santa Cruz, while better looking, has a less usable bed and is more expensive. 2) the Ridgeline, while a fine light truck, is way too damn expensive.

I saw a Santa Cruz on the road for the first time yesterday.  It looked cool but the bed looked totally useless.

If people considered long-term operating costs when buying a car they wouldn’t buy large SUVs and pickups and replace them every few years. Should they? Yes. Do they? No.
