My guess is that everything that isn’t currently filming is gonna be delayed indefinitely due to the writers’ strike (and maybe the SAG-AFTRA strike as well).

His Weed Jesus role in The Night Before will never be matched.

Just a reminder that he was in Jonah Hex.

I mean, the live-action remake of that old Ralph Bakshi fantasy movie with the magic ring was pretty good.

Now see, you’re just the kind of delightful poster that makes these comments so much nicer.

...we asked if there was anyone who was approached who wouldn’t do it.

Thanks for that.

Understood, and I’m sorry if I came off as aggressive. I’ve certainly posted stuff before that landed similarly.

Ach, sometimes you write things in clear, precise poise and everyone gets it, and other nights you come home and you just feel like taking a tone that goes for being extra-ranty with the hope that the over-the-top rantiness of it comes off as amusing in an “old man yells at clouds” kind of way.

Am I misremembering, or does “Everything Bruce Timm wanted to do with Batman but couldn’t” largely amount to “hooking him up with Batgirl”?

Yeah, I saw his Robin Hood. Accents he can “do” is pushing it a bit.

There is, of course, a lot of chatter on Twitter and elsewhere about how much money Zach Snyder made DC compared to after he left. But Man of Steel made less money than Thor: Love and Thunder. There was only one other Superman movie made in the previous twenty-five years and it had underperformed. And yet Snyder’s

Snyder fans are utterly delusional. Guarantee he ignores your argument or in fact ignores that before MOS, WB/DC had a string of hits with Nolan’s Batman making DC superhero properties incredibly lucrative and with general audience goodwill. No need to once again mention what happened after.

The thing that strikes me the most about this video is it sounds like the guy is turning into a werewolf, and he just happens to have the series finale of his favorite superhero show on at the same time.

The Royal Tenenbaums is my go-to Father’s Day movie. Of course I watched it again yesterday.  I adore the redemption arc.

In future discussions about box office, can we just please skip the very boring requirement that a specific set of people who are almost certainly all single guys show up to state how they prefer watching movies at home?

Ritchie: “You were never really dying.”

The Flash was the first movie I saw in a LONG time where several people left part way through. I thought it was a complete mess and was quite a chore to sit through.

I love the bit in ‘The Royal Tenenbaums’ where Royal says that he’s had the best time of his life with his family, followed by the narrator saying, “Immediately after making this statement, Royal realised that it was true.” It sums up the character so beautifully: the fact that he would say something like that without

I’ve not seen the three superhero movie/show you mention, so I can’t comment on those. My favourite superhero movie ever is Captain America: The First Avenger. My favourite superhero tv show ever is Gotham, because it’s bonkers and hilarious.
