Yeah, I came to say the same. Don't believe anything that they're saying when they have an expensive movie to sell you. Let's see what they're saying about Miller's future in the DCU in the Fall. My guess, "We are moving forward with a new vision for the DCU and we don't have plans for a Flash movie at this time."

I came here specifically to say that not only CAN someone else play The Flash someone else HAS DONE SO as recently as last week.

This is just PR. See what the director says after the movie comes out.

Two words: Grant Gustin

(Mind, I’ll note that he’s clearly ready to move on from the role, which is fair enough after a decade in it)

there’s literally a trilogy of failed trilogy starters.

It’s not just the repetition, it’s the mentality behind it. A decision-maker focused on tailoring a film to what might please the audience probably doesn’t have a creative bone in their body, and that’ll impact the quality of the work.

But not where you think!

So the explanation is that the sequels all were just iterations of T2 versus truly adding anything new to the mix?

T-2000: “There are four Ns in ‘mayonnaise’”

I agree— very much so, in fact. Especially when it comes to things where ambivalence and negligence leads to the “invisibles” of the world to suffer and it’s compounded by the fact that nobody cares because no one bothers to look outside their own bubble. The things happening to them may not affect you personally, but

Hey, Alliterator? As someone who’s long appreciated your presence on this site, truly holds you in high esteem, and also thinks it’s a pretty weird to exclusively only watch things that have been released within the last twelve months, your comments still feel... a little unnecessarily harsh?

Re-read. I literally started my post with “Rarely”. Not “never”. Rarely.

Yeah, but at least you could buy tapes or discs of the movies in the vault that you could watch while they were out of circulation. Without a physical media option, it’s basically 1974 with nicer TVs.

Troy is a movie that we refer to all the time at our house... because of the damn llamas in the market place. How did they get there from South America??? LLAMAS IN TROY is our rallying cry for when something is so stupid and wrong it ruins a movie or show because you can’t stop thinking about it.

Yeah, but it worked so well for Buzz Feed, why wouldn’t you copy it?

Yeah I was gonna guess the writer was like... 19. But looking at his twitter he looks more like he’s in his 40's, so this is extra confusing.

My favorite thing about Troy is that I had taught the Illiad to 10th graders that year, many of whom went to see it opening weekend. They disrupted class on Monday in the absolute best way possible, complaining about all the things the movie got wrong (“Miss, HOW do you have a movie about the Trojan War and NOT have

Somewhat fun fact! What Lies Beneath was written by Agent Coulson himself, Clark Gregg and I saw it in the theaters. I went to the theater a lot in the early 2000's.
