Forget what? Most will agree that Increddible Hulk and IM2 were low points for the MCU (also Thor, dependding on the individual), but weaker films are not the same as widely hated films.

The lesson that has gone unheeded is that Marvel Studios under Kevin Feige had to fight tooth and nail for the properties to remain (1) connected and (2) free from most executive meddling. The guy went straight to the Chairman of Disney and got the CEO of Marvel out of the picture.

It’s not the Joker, per se, so much as it is the greater Batman franchise and how Warner Bros. sees it in the context of its box office history.

Nah, Game of Thrones won’t affect the books at all. It’s (vaguely) possible that Winds of Winter’s release will coincide with the final season in 2019. The last book will come out some time later, by which point GoT will have been off the air for at least three or four years.
