You are not alone. I didnt hate Afterlife, but I didnt love it. And the nostalgia just overwhelmed the pretty mediocre story they were trying to tell.

It turns out freezing those two children in the first movie so they didn’t age was going to be EXPENSIVE, so we just moved the next movie forward in time to match and it was eay WAY cheaper.

It would be really nice to see a time period where the Jedi are trying to do good and actually earn their reputation.

I thought it looked good, but it is only a trailer so while I am more excited to watch it than I was yesterday, it really needs to prove that it can move beyond the issues that some of the shows have had.

I think they are just laying the groundwork for expanding beyond the Skywalker era.

It is doing very well, especially in this depressed box office that is q1 of 2024. Definitely getting a lift from some pent up demand, but all in all, landing in solid hit territory, especially if it goes over 600M.
