The problem there is he didnt want to tell a story, he wanted to continue an old story and start two new ones.

Yeah but that is what I mean, the prequels, for all of their many many many many flaws, told the story he wanted to tell, and while he didnt have it all worked out, and he desparately needed someone on staff to tell him “NO!” on occasion.
I think all of that is really just symbolic of Disney not knowing at all what to do with Star Wars, and because they had no plan of action beyond: “Make Money with it”, they just spent the whole time floundering and having projects blow up in their faces until Mando came along, and even after.
Oh. I am shocked that the two characters we saw heading to the big statue thing actually get to it and stand where the bad guy stood.
We got all the TV shows because all the studios, including Disney, were convinced that the Streamers were endless fonts of money once you inserted some content and then Covid hit.
Oh no you were fine in your comments, I just didnt want to go into actual spoiler territory!
Heh, Spoilers! I ahve only read the first book so far!
I was mixed on it, leaning towards favorable.
Leaning into the Bene Tleilax and Scytale was a good angle for Lynch to follow and expand upon. And it sounds like he was gonna get WEIRD with it too!
That was a fun read, thank you!
Mandalorian and Grogu: Baby Cart to Hades has a nice ring to it . . .
Missed opportunity there /s
That’s “Highly Profitable Dumpster Fire Bad Boys for Life” to you!
Well that is unexpected.
Judging by that cast list, this story is going to be pretty radically westernized?
It is VERY much not western fiction, which I think is part of its appeal for some people. The tropes and the decision making of the writer and characters are definitely not following the “normal” paths of character development or plot development this story would get in the west.
Except the single most exciting thing that has happend to Star Wars since TFA is the Mandalorian’s first 2 seasons, which is about none of that “good vs evil in a fight to save a galaxy.” stuff.
Tubi is Ad supported though. As is Pluto etc . . . so that is the revenue to cover the movie costs. Not subscriptions. I mean it is not like TUBI gets those movies for free and shows them out of the goodness of their heart!
Maybe I misunderstand what you are saying.
I dont really know, but I can say that I also get a lot of banners that have nothing to do with my viewing habits.
