I was really talking about the Subversion aspect of it, which he should get zero credit for.

Oh ok.

Please list these good corporations who always have their employee’s best interest at heart and “treats their employees well”.

Re: Unfilmables: a lot of it is the metatextual stuff at the end of each issue. The excerpts from Under the Hood. The Notes about Dr Manhattan, The article about Tales of the black freighter. the psych eval of Walter Kovacs, Dreibergs article about birds, Sally’s newspaper clippings, the notes taken from Veidts desk,

There is a Collider interview where he explains that sometimes he films scenes in slow motion, but then doesnt like it and speeds it up to regular speed, so you might be more right than you think!

It’s his background in Music Videos, I think.

Not really?

Ah a litte more info:

Not sure, really. Hayter left the project before Snyder came on, if I have the timeline right, and his script was modernized, ditching the coldwar setting (According to a quick Wikipedia check at least). Alex Tse did rewrites and kept the scenes he liked that Hayter wrote but reverted it back to its cold war setting,

The point in the comics is that mankind needs an external threat to focus on otherwise it will destroy itself in the cold war.

Oh no, I meant on the Watchman movie.

The coolest thing he did in that movie that was 100% his was the opening credits, which he knocked out of the park.

I get that the current actors in Rebel Moon are on the clock as it were, and are unlikely to slag him off unless something truly terrible went down.

“I’ve always believed Watchmen was ahead of its time,” he said. “The idea of a superhero team, which it so brilliantly subverts”

Well, you have always had suits mucking about with Dr Who, though. From day one the BBC suits interfered with the show, and they never really stopped, constantly chopping its budget and at times trying to cancel it (and succeeded in 1989). I think there were also serious thoughts about cancelling it because of the

Unrealized potential, maybe?

Well when you put it like that, this sounds like a terrible movie . . .

A spinn off starring his Rancor . . . Maybe!

Which I am generally ok on TBH.

I try to not shit on him as a person but focus on his work, but damn he makes it very hard some times!
