As much as I feel the Box Office is a useful metric for determining if a movie is successful (and honestly, it is the only one we have to determine that, as all the streaming data is intentionally obscured or unreliable), it does not and never has determined if a movie is good.

Yes I was talking about the first trilogy being the one time.

The problems for both franchises are really rooted in the disruption to the movie ecosystem made by streaming, and of course Covid.

Having Snoke be something that Kylo couldnt just get rid of that easily would Have been soooo much better.  It might even have made a statement about how once you go down a dark path, there is no easy way of getting off of it.
