Ah the famous chant of the Guardians of the Whillburs!

I think it is more that the reaction to the Sequels was real from the fans of the day, but that the generation that watched them young has now grown up asn is way more accepting of them.

Yeah it really does feel like: It’s good enough, no one will care!

It is just another thing that the Star Wars IP owners have convinced themselves is “essential to Star Wars”.

Definitely possible, but they could have shaded her skin tone in post pretty easily couldnt they?

That is true.

Me run Bartertown!  Embargo on!

Totally forgot they did that to the KoR. If I even knew that, I rarely read the expanded cannon stuff. Another wasted opportunity.

First point: Maybe, I would have to rewatch and see who says it. But they make sure to say it in every episode, usually iirc more than once. It seems both lazy on the writers part and odd given that her whole arc in Clone wars was about her NOT ending up a Jedi.

Dont do that to yourself.

Also how is her name Rose Noble when her dad was Temple?

They do look a bit small . . .maybe these are her backup headphones?

Yeah maybe the complete lack of development and definition of the sides and the stakes in those movies can be revealed to be a kind of turd blossom, because there is less to work around due to the fact that they did such a bad job on them.

You arent wrong there.

She’s no extra lurking in the background, though. She gets a lot of screen time and most of it she is the center of attention.

That is probably part of it, but Ahsoka doesnt have this problem with her skin tone.

They are kind of locked into that take on the New Republic by the sequels, I think. It feels like they dont want to directly contradict them, but more work around them.

He was mid, he says so himself when it comes up in season 1, iirc. Part of his journey with Ezra and the team is that he learns that it doesnt matter, you do the best with what you’ve got.

Counterpoint: He Hulk looks green and good in almost everything.

Kind of like a suped up “being in the zone” for sports. Trusting your body, not fighting it, not over controlling it, let it flow.
