No, it's one of the different styles of chalice. I think you can make a cursed version of most of them, but the Pthumarian cursed chalice is the one that is required to get the secret boss and trophy. I still had to do a depth 5 Loran and a depth 5 Isz to aquire the materials required to make all the Pthumarian

Isz is not so bad, except for some high damage snipers and my least favorite enemy in the game being common. There is a big room in layer 3 with two tough enemies that you should be very adept at fighting by now and a huge gaggle of cannon fodder. With the 30% echo gain rune it's like 110k in less than five minutes.

I had a little trouble until he transformed his weapon and became much easier to parry. (Same issue with Pthumarian Decendent; he wrecks me in his first form and then becomes cake when he decides to "get real")

I'm just about done with the Chalice Dungeons (currently stuck on the second appearance of Bloodletting Beast), but am torn over doing NG+ with my Skill/Bloodtinge character or starting over for a Strength character (maybe STR/Arcane) so I can co-op with RL friends who are all ~100 levels behind me. I do really want

I never even started Skyrim after my experience with Oblivion. I was about 90 hours in, at the level cap, stuck doing the awful punishment quests for getting back into some guild's good graces, and just starting the actual story when I suddenly realized that I was having zero fun. It's really hard to switch off your

That didn't take long. When do they announce the sequel?

I've got about 40 Bloodtinge and a +9 Evelyn, which only gets me 150-200 damage against most enemies. The NPCs get to do cannon level damage with their pistols.

I fought him right after Blood Starved Beast because I didn't realize the area was optional. Hardest boss in the game for me and the only time I considered summoning help. Then I smacked Vicar Amelia down on my first try.

I'm so torn about it. The game looks interesting and I hate the idea of punishing a creator for his politics, but the dude's "I don't recognize my own politics as politics and thus bitch and moan about the politicization of art when I recognize someone else's" attitude is infuriating.

Still putting pieces together but here are the theories I can add:

The Chalices are starting to grow on me. They're a lot less boring when you are at or under the proper level for taking them on. It's when you have to speed through one that you are crazy OP for just to progress that they really become a slog.

ProTip for Cathedral Hunter: fight him on the stairs. It's the edge of his comfort zone and he'll waffle between retreating and doing his It Follows/Terminator march towards you. It makes him much less aggressive, and if you get really desperate you can try to bait him into 2-handing his Chikage, which will drain his

My favorite so far has been The One Reborn, though he wasn't too difficult after groking the gimmick. It's like fighting a living metal album cover.

I've only had one invader so far, (he stomped me, but I was in an area where I was barely surviving against the monsters anyway) but word on the street is that the gun builds are already ruling the meta, thanks to Bone Marrow Ash consumables.

Both forms. They effect the damage scaling of weapons and also gatekeep the base requirements. The letter grades that each stat has for a weapon represents how much extra damage the weapon will do based on that stat. If a weapon has a D in Strength and an A in Skill, it will get a much bigger increase in damage from a

I'm going Skill/Tinge as well, and my main advice is to avoid the siren song of the Repeater Pistol. It does some serious damage early on in the game, but Evelyn eventually catches up with it due to the scaling and the double ammo consumption really hurts sometimes. I will never stop lamenting the chunks I wasted

Yeah, just getting your head around the layout of an area is half the battle sometimes.

The big group of them in Unseen village is the most terrifying mob in the game, IMO. For a bunch of insane rural women being used as vessels for biological and cosmic horrors, they have an incredible command of tactical combat. One rushes you while two others slowly flank on either side and a fourth tosses molotovs.

They keep grabbing me even without the inital immobilzing spell. Just running up and diving right into my brains.

So you're not doing pure Arcane then, I take it? I wonder if that's even viable. Some invader totally stomped me with a that Tesla Coil-ish weapon, but no idea what his stats were.
