2018 should already be underway! If you live in a district with a Republican incumbent, hook up with your county / state Dem party and help get candidates on the ticket. All of our amazing ire does us no good if we aren’t also doing the work to get new people in office.
That’s the thing that jumps out at me — this is in Utah.
I’m delighted to see this. One because he’s a tool, and two, because it shows that folks in these red constituencies are actually standing up for the things we all want for each other and ourselves - namely human rights, healthcare, and education.
Especially the gubernatorial elections. There are so many Republican governors in relatively blue states that we need to oust to fix the gerrymandering issues. That’s how we take back the house in 2020.
OMG, yes, this. My greatest fear is that we won’t have the numbers to turn this outspoken-ness into sea change in 2018. Because what’s been clear is that these fuckers think they can ignore the ire of their constituency b/c they think they’ll get re-elected anyway.
Don’t forget to funnel that rage into campaigns, too. 2018 will be here before we know it.
Until celebrities with endorsement deals actually walk away from those deals, all this is merely theater and stalling. They’re all hoping it’ll die down and people forget or are distracted by the next horrid realization so their bottom line isn’t affected. If they truly believed these principles, they’d walk.

It matters that we say it, every time. It’s going to get exhausting, but the alternative - his administration is just crooked and there’s no use talking about it anymore - just allows them to escalate.
But honest question, what are we going to do about it? What are the next steps here? I feel like we are shouting into a void about federal law and ethics and its making me very tired.
They literally don’t have the numbers to stop anything. What the fuck do you mean “have done nothing of value as of yet?”
One thing that happened in the strike in Poland was that women whose bosses didn’t support the strike just quit their jobs. Not everyone has the privilege/security/ability to do that, but i thought it was pretty ballsy and awesome.
One method suggested below that can be time-coordinated with a strike would be to refrain from shopping on that day - bring your lunch instead of buying it, get your groceries the day before, and so on. Even if you’re not physically missing from the workforce, your lack of consumer activity will be counted when they…

Meaning that he probably didn’t even understand “Finding Dory.”
“And you are to love those who are greys, for you yourselves were foreigners in the pending comments.”
It means, the American People will pay billions and billions for the wall. Trump is doing what he does best, sticking the bill to everyone else.
I have a similar thought as well. Plus, in my silver lining, this will have shocked a good many people out of their complacency, who will in turn actually vote like an adult next time. Hoping so anyways.
