Curious if anyone played it and thought it was decent? Aside from whether it was worth the 3 month delay, I thought it was pretty cool. I like the new gear, I like the new freeplay events, and the Cataclysm itself is straight. Idk, I guess it’s just for the few who still enjoy it

How is offering indie publishers a better deal not the right kind competition?

I’d pay $100-$110 for an official, color customized set of Joy-Con for sure.

Huh. So my immediate thought is, if they can design NPCs that “know” the mechanics, why not just have the Squadron also do this? C’est le jeu

I haven't been able to find a straight answer as to how the Trust system differs from the Command Squadrons (where you recruit and level NPCs with your Grand Company and run dungeons with them). How similar are they?

Looks like it has that same inconsequential “cutting through air” melee combat from God Eater...I don’t know what it is about the animation work From Software and Capcom bring to their games, but attacks just seem to have a lot more weight to them there.

Now this is actually how I feel about the battle royale genre. Load in, drop down, run around for like 5-10 minutes, have a 30-60 second fire fight, die, repeat.

If anything, the flying in Anthem alone is excellent. Easily one of the best feeling traversal mechanics in games, alongside like Splatoon’s ink swimming and Titanfall 2's wall-running and sliding.

Nice! Here’s to meaningful, incremental updates!

Gamers, Rise Up?

FFXV: Comrades :(

What a massive, massive game. Mario Maker 1.5 this is decidedly *NOT*. Day One w/ Voucher for me

Yes. The first time I did 1000B damage in Diablo 3, I felt a rush of dopamine that immediately made me go, “Oh you know what? This is probably an addicition and I should stop this now.”

Just picked this game up when the price dropped to $40 at GS. I figure I’ll put enough time in to get to the “end” (which seems to be about 30 hours?), see what all the endgame fuss is about, then wait until they patch it more.

Now playing

Love and support for the workers at Riot!

Same, was similarly hurt by the lack of servers.

Attack the hydra’s heads and one of them gets lopped off, ending the mission- I think the pawns should be shouting at you to do so!

You could be getting “Ambushed”.

Imagine the existential turmoil he’d experience from finding the Infinity Gauntlet and becoming Thanos in-game.

It’s that patented (not really) Capcom hit-stun that makes all their combat games feel sooo satisfying. Street Fighter, Devil May Cry, Monster Hunter, and Dragon’s Dogma all have that satisfying *crunch* when a good hit connects.
