It’s the ‘murca version of the Blower Bentley.

LOL. Yeah, the most I’ve seen in BC is around $5M. I don’t really know why I put the qualifier that sentence...
I wondered that too. This would probably exceed the max liability coverage the owner has on his policy anyway... so hopefully it’s on Garage policy or distributed to individual owners.
TT 2jz swap.
These things are incredibly practical and still have that flawless 90's Toyota build quality and reliability (you see the older cargo van ones with stupid mileage on them and still all original). Easy buy at that price.
The best is the automatic wipers. ‘Oh sweet, no more of this intermittent bullshit.’ *Starts using them and realized there is ‘auto’ with 6 levels of sensitivity to replace the intermittent setting on old cars.*
Supposedly the passenger side is supposed to fail more quickly than the driver’s side, as they are exposed to more moisture, get curbed, and hit more bumps in the road (drifting onto the unpaved shoulder etc...). Doesn’t always seem to be the case though.
My old Mac (rebranded Cambell Hausfield) 1/2 gun would rip these off no problem. Torque ratings for impacts seem to be made up by the marketing people more than the engineers, as I can think of a number of examples (crushing pinion nuts for example) where the lower-rated guns would easily trump ones with supposedly…
The power company probably buys the power from them (through net metering most likely) so it’s cool, but it also gives them a small payback for energy that would otherwise be wasted.
Even when not in your peripheral vision, it’s also because your mind can do the ‘when to shift calculation’ looking at a sweeping tach with little mental manipulation — in essentially the same way you can deflection shoot on a moving target almost intuitively. Whereas with a number readout, or graph bar it’s not the…
Basically my feelings too. If you dropped most of the tricolore setup, left the gauges stock and dropped all the aftermarket stuff (though I can see why this would have been cool when it was new). This is a legitimately good looking car, especially the exterior treatment.
You ever watch ‘The Wire?’
GM leather is basically paper. Even if the driver is a 90lb spinner the seats will crack and wear through in 3-4 years.
Old Lexus LS or 560SEL — unofficial old money ‘it’s still comfortable, reliable, and I don’t care about status or spending money on depreciating assets’ car.
LOL that it was a Kia dealership. They must be the easiest franchise with the fewest compliance audits/spot checks of any dealer if you just want a franchise dealership.
Lexus LS — likely in 400 flavour given that budged. Invisible to police, not going to get stolen, comfortable, dead nuts durable and reliable, with a huge following that can tell you how to fix every common problem yourself. Great car to sit in traffic in.
It’s well know for being able to take serious punishment and horsepower, but in terms of driving dynamics it’s pretty crap.
They still do in Canada. We have Patriot ‘High Altitude’ editions as rental cars and they are hatefull little shitboxes.
