"Gas is cheap right now, like, this month, seems like a perfect time to commit to a 60 month loan on a 16 mpg Yukon/Suburban/Escalade!"

Yes! I'd love to know the specifics of how the homoglation rules lapsed over a few years. Top notch lobbying happening, I'm sure. At some point it went from 'you must build 25 examples', to, 'yeah, I guess just one or two examples is okay, you're good for the rest.'

Yeah but the bonkers thing is that at Le Mans in these years, there were LMPs, but the GT cars were faster because of rules and loopholes and this homologation fantasy world. That boggles my mind. These spaceships were the proverbial 'Corvette C6.R' of the day. That's something that's so hard to sink in.

No, you're totally right, I oversimplified and wasn't aware of as many improvements as there are

There's a Hyundai dealer south of Houston that took over one of those showrooms. They kept the big H!

Great suggestion!

I love this answer

This car makes me lose a lot of faith I had in the industry to really push the development of electric cars. They've had almost 5 years, and it's not even 10% more efficient? I know that batteries evolve slowly, but the Volt came onto the scene with such a compelling technology advantage, and with the update they've

This one stings, yes

I recently drove a V8 M3 (DCT), and while I was truly impressed with its powertrain, it felt like I was sitting up high in a car that was working hard to hide its considerable size/weight. They've done brilliant work with a flawed evolutionary cycle.

The pictures say it all

I still love the look of the W210s but yeah, I hear they were not great cars.

I wonder how many German auto execs will read this list and then invent yet another new category of $60,000 four-door coupe luxury crossover

Goo job Blaine, just one thing I'd like to get to the bottom of: Where's Hellcat?

I find a LOT of the things BMW does from the factory these days inexcusable.

I want to know everything about this

I just read in a Motorsport article that McLaren were down on horsepower from Mercedes because they weren't using the fuel it was designed around (sponsor obligations, no doubt). This was the first I'd heard of that.

Black kidney grills is inexcusable, for me. I guess I'm a purist. Black kidneys says "I'm in high school and my parents give me too much allowance."

It's not great for overtaking but as a challenge of man and machine, it's superb. Also, this isn't a scientific measure, but in video games it has a rhythm and flow to it that simply isn't found lapping around most Hermann Tilke tracks.

ooh, even better to wash the taste of Daytona Prototype out of my eyes
