Every other team dropped tobacco sponsorship in 2006, when advertiser rules changed. Except Ferrari, which has renewed multiple deals with Philip Morris, and is rumored to be getting $100 million a year from them.

I looked up Whyte Bikes, which is suing Rich Energy over stealing their logo. This is the logo.

I really don’t care either way if tobacco is in Formula 1. The issue for me is that the rules about tobacco sponsorship (implemented in 2006!) don’t apply to Ferrari.

They are magnesium.

every BMW with black kidneys looks like pieces have fallen off the car

you’re right

Can’t wait until every tasteless idiot specs them like this:

When I was a kid, I would see a lot of late-gen Ford Aerostars, and every time I became distressed that the badge wasn’t centered vertically in the grille. Why would they do this?

ok?

Please! Won’t somebody think of the #Brands!

Every Acura from the past 15 years is still riding the coattails of this lineup. We car nerds often talk about how long it takes to change public perception in the case of say, Cadillac — 15 years after the CTS, and they’re all still just “an old man” car to many in the general public (the sedans at least). But look

The simplicity of surfacing on the side is so perfect and elegant. No overwrought double creases or needless divots or character lines to hide giant expanses of sheetmetal. I love it. Bring back clean designs. The complexity is in its form, not its detailing.

This times a million. Porsche seems to be somewhat grounded in reality, but I cringe seeing the range claims of electric concept cars that are 4+ years from production. Like, they just made up a number for the range. Tesla has been building and selling the things since 2012.

The 10 year-old A4 is a bad example, but there are a few brand new cars that have the string of pearls LEDs, so I think it’s valid.

You sit in the middle so visibility is better, and obviously, central, so you can place the car easier, but also you sit more forward because the wheelwells aren’t in the way of your feet. Additionally, the 3-seat layout is smart because the widest part of a human is the shoulders, so by having the passenger seats set

The 350Z had a better design and was a better grand-tourer than the 370Z, which sacrificed all of its cargo space to be marginally more compact and ...the same curb weight. The 370Z might offer slightly better performance, but it’s more numb and insulated so you wouldn’t know it.

Agree. The front bumper with the painted black sections just looks so cheap and last-minute. The Scuderia, on the other hand, rights all the F430's wrongs for me.

Buick Encore. It’s got the same bewildering proportions as the “lesser” Chevy Trax, but with chintzier chrome detailing everywhere and 50% more trying-too-hard. It looks like it should cost $8,000 new, but inexplicably, it costs much more than that.

I do
