Yeah the “I will shove this ball down your throat” incident has stuck with me since. I love Serena. I truly believe she is the greatest professional athlete in history. But she can be a dick and, when she so chooses, go WAY overboard without a thought of who and how it hurts (including her own image and legacy).

I’m pretty much in the bag for Serena Williams as a rule. She’s been one of my favorite athletes for 20 years. That being said, she isn’t and has never been a good loser and that day certainly wasn’t one of her finer moments. She embarrassed herself and basically ruined Naomi Osaka’s moment.
I hope she gets traded to Portland so that every Thorn has its Rose.
