I made the same error in judgement. I was staying up to watch Netflix, even though I'm exhausted, but now I have a reason to go directly to bed.

As far as extensions go, I wouldn't recommend them for you. The sew in kind are heavy and often damage the hair they're attached to, and obviously glue ins wouldn't be an option either (do people still get glue ins?). I suppose the clip in kind could work if you want to use them every day, but it's mostly the weight

I'm a Goldwell girl through and through, but I think all of the recommendations here are good!

Dear Diary,

Ha, well, I'm really exhausted and sore and sick because it was all in environments where I was interacting with hundreds of people and/or in air conditioning all day, so I'm not happy about any of that. I don't want to speak to any other humans for the next month either. But it means I can relax with work for the

Toda!

I just had my highest income week of the entire year! I also worked for 10 straight days and had a 13.5 hour day on Friday and a 10 hour day on Saturday, which meant I couldn't really celebrate Yom Kippur, but I think I'll be forgiven for that. For anyone going to Coterie in NYC this week, come say hello to me!

Good luck!! I hope that this time next week we're reading that it was successful!

Yep, it's also really difficult to determine weight just from looking at someone, especially a runway still. I've gotten some nasty comments on pictures of me before, never ceases to amaze me how people don't think that the person IN those images can actually read what they say.

Yep, I look nothing like the creature I am on the runway and in editorials, I couldn't look like that without a team to create that image. Even the fairly normal looking hair and make up is sort of scary in real life, especially when you come home from a lookbook shoot to an unsuspecting boyfriend with a piece of

"Underweight" according to BMI doesn't look unhealthy on everyone who falls into the category, nor is it actually unhealthy for everyone who happens to be under an 18 on the scale. That's my personal experience and the experience of many healthy models I know who happen to fall beneath the "healthy weight" line. I

I'm a pretty normal looking woman body-wise who is 5'11" and weighs 120lb (I am a professional model, but am hardly a bag of bones). I don't need to justify my eating or exercise habits, but I'm healthy according to my doctor and to how my body feels daily. Neither 5'11" and 115 nor Laura's height and weight are

It's just an oddly critical thing to say, like, it's not as if the models necessarily enjoyed wearing the wigs (wigs are not comfortable for long periods of time) or that coloring one's hair a non-natural color is something to feel bad about.

Those are wigs. ;)

As a semi-former freelancer I completely understand! Oftentimes I'm also contacted/booked via social media or I have to confirm my shift via text message or contact other people that I'm managing at events. Could you imagine having to use a laptop for all phone functions without the guarantee of an internet

Same in my industry. When my agent calls me the client is often on hold on the other line waiting on my availability, same goes for any of my promotional clients. If I don't answer, they'll move on. It simply isn't an option for me to not have some method by which my agent, potential and current clients can reach me.

Where else is my chihuahua going to get warm sweaters for the upcoming winter and gravy for her kibble, if not from the daily grind of my job?

It's usually really cold backstage at shows, so that could explain why they all look small.

Ha seriously! I skipped the show circuit this year, I just don't want to compete with the teens anymore and want to move into commercial fashion anyway, but the ill fitting, painful shoes that make you blister and bleed plus 5am call times every day make "dead face" easier to pull off.
