Inflation combined with couture lines being a huge loss for design houses, it's no surprise they decided to double the prices to make up for that. Personally, I get my couture in trade for modeling, but I could never afford a lot of the things I own otherwise.

True couture really isn't over-inflated though, because true couture is bespoke for the wearer, and is always made entirely by hand (not in a 3rd world country) and uses very expensive fabric and detailing. It's the RTW label that you can find in every designer store that's made in factories in Hong Kong for nickels…
