Steve Madden was my first thought HAHA!

Oh really? It's not even worth tasting then? Details! I need them!

Ha! Yes! I'm sure Karlie owned them, because fashion model, but I'm so tired of seeing 20s-inspired dresses with sky-high stilettos. Am I too attached to era-authenticity? I just think lower heels are the better styling option and accentuate leg length just as well with the proper shape.

Watching very wealthy, famous people (aka people with resources) endure such public breakdowns with nobody stepping up to catch them makes me incredibly thankful for my support network.

Yep. If you aren't sure how your client's shoe size will translate to a certain brand/style, get their size and one half size up and one half size down. Obviously that can't be done 100% of the time, but this is just horrifying.

Ugh, fucking Ann.

Yeah, I was raised to say thank you even when the food runner came by and discreetly filled my water glass.

I understand that always new clothing pain, because I primarily work as a fashion model. Shit is ALWAYS uncomfortable, usually the shoes are not in my size (often too big, I have small feet for a 5'11" woman) and brand new with tape on the bottom so I have to be extra careful not to scuff them and such (try not

The heels paired with that dress are horrendous, they look like wannabe stripper shoes (you know the style I'm talking about).

They almost always have stylists that dress them, sometimes the shoes sent along with the gown are sent in the wrong size. But I agree, I'm sure EVERY starlet has a pair of plain metallic strappy heels in their own size, just swap them instead of causing yourself pain.

Looks like I'll be scouring all the local craft beer sellers for this!

I didn't come in with a lot of credits (my district didn't cover AP test costs/I wasn't really a math and science person) but I finished my undergraduate in 3 years even as a transfer student After my freshman year. Totally killed myself taking 6-7 classes at a time, but it was worth it to get out faster.

Yeah, she was denied twice (not sure if she was approved the third time).

Ugh oh god the amount of people who do this in my neighborhood in Philly. It seems the worst offenders are those who have their jogging strollers conveniently placed perpendicular to the sidewalk with other people who are doing the same thing. Can they not move closer to the buildings/out of the way?

Fascinating, thanks for the history lesson! :)

From what I could gather from articles she was in Bali at the time waiting for her visa to Australia to clear so she could complete her "transaction" (I have no better word for it). I don't know that she would have been able to afford college without the money from that?

I'm not seeing how posing for Playboy has anything to do with whether or not she decides to pursue higher education.

Was it off the table, though, in pre and post WW2 Japan? I'm not overly familiar with Japanese history (I did read the novel though and assumed it was more fiction than fact) but I think the unstable environment could have certainly caused an alteration of tradition for survival.

Kate is gorgeous, you don't have to shit on the bodies of other women/girls (as is the case with many models) to say that.

Anthropology: my aspirational job and where all my education is, but ethnography doesn't pay the bills
