Woahhh I just went back and read so many old posts, no private messages posted up but wow was that weird! Also, tons of stupid stuff on mine, I figure any boss that would judge me based on what I posted over half a decade ago is probably creeping a little too hard on my profile.

What an asshole, size 8 is not any type of big! I think it's time to find a new doctor, because you shouldn't have to put up with that. I have always been very tall and very, very slender, I'm 5'11" and have never weighed more than 128lbs, and I had a doctor who berated me about gaining weight even after my bloodwork

Cue at least one person saying "calories in/calories out!!!"

Yeah, I'm comfortable enough to say modern sizing is roughly half of 50s sizing.

Journalists, doctors, same thing right? Let's not equate articles being written about someone's body size with their actual level of health, please, whether it be about weight gain or loss.

Not to mention Oct. 27th is not "almost" the eve of Halloween anyway! Double correction.

I'm quite sure that Marilyn's measurements were speculated to be somewhere around 35-22-35, ie that her dressmaker made that statement. 35" hips are about a size 0/2 today (outside of the modeling world and depending on the clothing label), though the clothes would have been labeled, in that time, as a 6/8. Even if

Okay, let's separate what the BLS says from the inferences that Business Insider makes, please. I'm not expecting hard hitting science journalism to come out of this, Doug, because all of your science related articles never actually include reading the study you're mocking, but seriously, this is weak. Use primary

You want Doug Barry to post facts about a scientific study? Noooo, won't ever happen.

Oooh, 25 waist would still be too big on me! Ugh straight leg trouser jeans, why do you not come in a size 0/why must you have 2% spandex!

There is a cage underneath all the fake hair!

This was Couture Night for Philadelphia Fashion Week, I think my make up took about 30 min, and being that the hair is mostly weave (designed by Bethany Bell) it only took her also maybe 25-30 min to attach and style it all!

33" and 34" is too short for me, unfortunately, unless I want highwaters. I really do need a 36" inseam, and with a 24" waist finding pants that fit me and don't do that stupid dipping in the back (seriously, nobody wants to see crack, can we just make better pants) will run me waaaaay more than leggings do. Sucks :(

Thank you! I was so excited when I found out I was the finale model for my favorite local designer!

Ummmm as a 5'11" woman I'm going to say...what pants are made for women that tall? Fit models are usually 5'8", and I've given up on ever finding jeans that are long enough and also come up over my pelvic bone, since I am tall and thin.

This is what I looked like just over an hour ago. The hair was woven around a cage, 5lb on top of my head, and the collar is made entirely out of zippers sewn together, easily 10lb resting unevenly on my shoulders for 3 hours. It hurt like hell but was the best runway show I've ever done. I am so satisfied/happy.

No apology necessary, I agree with you. The cub is cute but doing this to animals is irresponsible.

In the case of alcoholism and recovery I think it can be considered inappropriate, as opposed to someone who simply doesn't drink by choice. I would say in this case that her family should have known better, I'm not a psychologist by any means but I can imagine just being in the presence of alcohol can lead to relapse

I initially reacted that way too, but this incident was right before LiLo's latest supposed drinking and driving episode, not when she was a kid. The article notes that, but Anna didn't bother to clarify.

29 college credits is awesome to graduate with, you've just knocked half of a year off of your degree (and a bunch of dumb gen. ed. classes, never liked those myself). Stay strong, I only had a few friends in high school and two of them regularly blew me off because they're just flakey people. I don't think one blow
