I hope there’s a human looking at these before they send the ticket. We have these bus lanes in Denver and you have to cross into them to make a right turn. Sometimes, you have to stop to make that turn. Would this know the difference?

The vehicle size is not the problem, it is the bad driver and lack of training.

It’s perfectly fine, but it makes me so happy seeing this and knowing it must really bug a few of those obnoxious “contributors” to jalopnik. You know the ones , the finger wagging one’s up on their pedestals telling us all our cars are too big and too dangerous. I hope this sells like hotcakes

It’s kind of nice to see some kind of brand design used on more than just one vehicle. Like the good ol’ days. haha

If pricing were more straightforward people wouldn’t resort to these methods” EXACTLY. When I was living in Detroit 20 years ago, for some reason it was often cheaper for me to drive to Lansing or Toledo and then fly back to the Detroit Airport, and then fly non-stop to my actual destination. If he had payed the higher one-way direct flight fare, would he have been on the same flight at the same time, to the same destination?

I couldn’t agree more. I did something like this many years ago when trying to get from Oslo to Vienna for a reasonable price. It was a bit different though - a round trip was cheaper than a one-way trip so I booked the round trip and didn’t take the flight back to Oslo.

An empty seat is a ticket unsold to the money minds who make air travel tick.

BRILLIANT

Exactly.

Do people still not know that mass is a factor in a 2 body physics problem? That money buys safety? That excessive power is correlated with higher risk? How is the IIHS study on the wetness of water coming along?

There is a world of a difference. E-bikes can go incredibly fast and they accelerate incredibly quickly. Only very experienced and in-shape bike riders can get a normal bike to go fast. None of them can get one to accelerate quickly.

Out here in coastal SoCal, where the parents are wealthy AND idiotic, there are now “gangs” of dumbass over privileged kids tearing around on $5K E-bikes while completely ignoring traffic laws. I give it 2 years tops before the Gov starts (correctly) treating them like motor vehicles with

“and [the car] tracks all your movements with no way to opt out or find out where that information is going?”

The problem with nearly every car mentioned here is the price.

Weird. Normal people don’t want to buy a $50k car with 7% interest rates, tech that’s outdated faster than a modern smartphone, a business model that’s constantly pushing microservices, and tracks all your movements with no way to opt out or find out where that information is going?

This certainly conforms to my experience recently. We’re looking for a new car and the lots are largely barren - except for dedicated EVs from some companies. We could have jumped into a Solterra, BZ4X, Mach-E, e-Mini, etc. immediately - just completed the sale and driven it off the lot... and in any number of

Disney executive #1: “Here’s this $50 million, straight-to-streaming kids movie about astronauts. It releases on Disney+ in a couple of months.

I guarantee this is all happening because of the writers’ strike. This is the studios/networks/streaming platforms trying to flex their muscles and attack writers and creators by killing shows before they pay out any residuals or other payments.

Remember kids. Piracy is WRONG. You should always respect the decisions of a megacorporation. They’re better than you and they’re a better judge of what’s right and wrong. If the corp decides that a movie should never be seen again, you should bow to their supreme wisdom.
