Not ignoring it - just stating that it should not be incorrectly identified as the main culprit. Jalopnik has some writers who are on a mission to blame big vehicles as the primary source of deaths and it is just a bad stance. I point again to Large vehicles on the road not killing people - Busses, Delivery Trucks,

Does not need to be addressed. Cities have Buses, Trash Trucks and Big Delivery trucks.

My argument is if you can reduce drunk and distracted driving you will have less vehicles hitting pedestrians.

First - speeds should be lower in neighborhoods and city centers. I agree with that.

This is a pin for where the charging station is located - https://maps.app.goo.gl/BK23B1ciPmRU1fJ66

yeah, again I am not trying to poo-poo on this charging station. I think Rivian is doing a good job.

I looked up the location on Google Maps and this station is on the main highway through the town of Joshua Tree. It is not inside the park - nor is it near any of the park entrances to a degree where you can access the park on foot. Even if it was right outside the gate the park is big enough that pedestrians would

As a Californian I agree that Changing the time twice a year needs to go away and that we need to be on DST year round instead of Standard Time.

I would say they have better safety than most cars when it comes to what they are designed to protect you against.

Old people with nothing better to do.

I have a set of the Open Country’s on my 2007 Silverado. I have a 2 inch leveling kit up front and an add a leaf in the rear to help make clearance, they are about 34inchs tall.

This certainly has changed my mind about riding in the Backseat of a Model Y for any reason.

Tom - I want to add something to this. For the buyers who like to walk the lot and browse inventory, the best time to do that is early on Sunday Morning as the sun is rising. The dealerships are not open yet - generally no one is there - and you can walk an entire lot without any sales people bothering you.

That is one Mean Looking Patrol Car.

The non-street legal “trail” versions of the Surrons are already a big problem. I mostly see clueless parents buying them for their teenagers who wheelie them on public streets while not wearing proper safety gear.

oh goodness yes. Why some vehicles do not have that helpful little arrow is a disgrace - especially when you rent cars a lot.

yes, there are oil changes and other fluid changes on an ICE.

$12000 to replace your battery pack is about twice as much as it would cost to replace an ICE motor.

I would personally prefer there was no winter blend in California and I would gladly pay the higher price for better gas.

Those price tags are why people are keeping their ICE Vehicles longer and just fixing them instead of diving into the EV game.
