The best part? The owner of the truck that had it flatted by more load than a dump truck could take. Guess what he did for a living?

Old statement is that full sized trucks are 1/2 ton trucks, so 1000 lbs isn’t outside of the ratings even for a mid-70s truck

As the author of one of those, I agree. The biggest issue with trucks is that they are big.

I don’t need a longbed that often, I’ll admit, but I need it at least ten times as often as I need a second row of seats. If anyone announces a two-door EV compact pickup anytime soon, I’m reserving it day one.

When I was a kid the only 4 door pickups you would see were either owned by the highway department, railways, or mining companies.  Farmers owned regular two doors, long beds. City cowboys owned two door short beds or step-sides.  The odd family had extended cabs.

Why are the taxpayers on the hook for a dime? It was bad enough when the Coast Guard kept the relatives on the hook for 4 days with their they“might be alive” statements. They knew there were no bodies to recover or ship to find. Let the billionaires family fund a “rescue” effort.

Cool…. A side-by-side side divorce-mobile, instead of the usual tandem divorce-mobile.

It dominated its class completely from start to finish... though it was running in a special exhibition class by itself.

It was the only car in it’s class.

Boogity-boogity-boogity!”

Based on my reactions to the GX and what I see on multiple car sites, you may be one of very few people in total who does not love the look of the new GX.

You underestimate how lazy the vast majority of shoppers are. You’d THINK that people would be willing to drive several hours...or even fly to another state to buy a car that is in demand.

It’s funny this kind of thing sort of actually happens.

So, how the dealers will get around this....

I think the difference is experience and attitude. Discounting the differences in voice between Eckstein and Dawson, Eckstein’s younger Ahsoka has always had a glass-is-going-to-be-full kind of optimism and youthful energy in it. Dawson’s Ahsoka has seen some shit, her stance says, “I used to ride-or-die with Anakin

Hard not to fall somewhere in the middle on this subject.

The current inspection fee will remain, but will be renamed to the “inspection program replacement fee”

I can relate, I live in a part of Oregon where real estate exploded in 2020-21. On the plus side I got good refi deal in 21, on the minus side I can’t even afford a fixer upper in my neighborhood.  As for a new car, my budget can handle the payments for my one good car but no way can I afford the $40k average new car.

Higher income brackets qualify for a $2,000 rebate, while lower- and middle-income individuals can get an increased rebate of $7,500.”

Look, we have pretty good models that are able to mathematically predict how long a secret or conspiracy can stay covered up based off of how many people and organizations know about it.
