I read it - what would consider a better alternative then? Should it be tied to the “average” users annual gas tax? How did they determine what an average user pays in gas taxes?

Tracking miles driven has always been a privacy thing - I wonder how feasible that can actually be, who can see where you go, etc. I know some insurance companies offer tracking devices for customers willing to opt-in for discounted rates, but that is an opt-in thing, can’t be forced as far as i know.

Not trying to start a fight, just looking for an honest take on how to properly address it. If $200 is too much, then how much should it be?

Honest question — If Gas Tax is used to pay for highway infrastructure in the State and EV’s do not require Gas - thus the owners do not pay any gas tax to help pay for infrastructure. How do you propose the state collect funds from vehicle owners to pay for highway infrastructure?

I never even considered what was happening on the east coast.... I always assumed it was a midnight for them as well. So you are saying it was at 3am for the east coast? that is lame.

This is perfect for so many reasons - but the biggest one for me is when they released at midnight I could not watch them until the next night after a full day of work and avoiding the internet to avoid spoiler articles - especially on sites like this one. Now my wife and I can watch the show the same evening it

yep, front and rear bench seats. I have put 6 adults in it before. Of course the individual humans shapes and size will vary how comfortable they are.

I used to own a Colorado and loved that little truck but it did not tick enough boxes for my needs that a Silverado does and this new one is also lacking.

I was shopping these when they were new as a possible replacement to my 2004 STI - the local Pontiac Dealer (that makes me sound old) had a Single GXP in a slate grey color with the manual and a $10k mark-up over MSRP........ NOPE.

My Silverado has great paint and it parked outside 24/7. The Suburban needs a clay bar and some wax, but otherwise looks great. I have owned a number of high mileage GM products over the years to great success. I had a 2000 S-10 Blazer that we drove from 86k to 255k - I sold it for 4 grand back in 2010 - it had a

Kinda shocked to see that the GM Suburban/tahoe/yukon/escalade SUV’s and the Silverado/Sierra trucks are not on this list. They are routinely for sale in my area with over 200k miles and some with 300k miles on them.

the kinds of transportation that can roll over a child, cyclist, or child cyclist without batting an eye.

Pre-Pandemic I would have been inclined to agree with you, but the inflation of the last 2 years has pushed car prices way up. A new Escalade already costs over $100k and it is Cadillac’s best seller.

I would have liked to see some more investigation into how AB inBev is also manipulating the market and tricking average consumers into supporting Giant Breweries while taking away from the independents. I believe this too played a part in the demise of Anchor.

What breweries and what IPA’s that they “used to make” according to this post are no longer being made? I live in San Diego - Subjectively the craft beer capital of the United States if not the World - 200 local breweries here. I do not know of a single brewery here that stopped making a staple IPA in favor of a DIPA

It is about time someone made a full size EV SUV.

Does not mean a person who is Jaywalking is legally a pedestrian.

What if you tried to make a rational argument to counter my points instead of going directly to personal insults?
