I own a 2007 Chevy Silverado Classic. 2007 was the year the bodystyle changed and the Classic was the same platform as the 2006 and older trucks, but a model year 2007.
Am I to understand that some small town next to an interstate was writing tickets on the interstate where they do not have jurisdiction?
I understand their complaints, but heck people drive like idiots everywhere, not just a few neighborhoods in LA where a movie was filmed. I live in a neighborhood that has a 30mph speed limit and a center turn lane. People routinely travel above 40mph on this street. Once in a while I complain to the local PD, they…
Buy used and get the top of the line trim level.
I was hoping Mat Oxley would have an article out soon about it. (I read all 4 articles you linked) - This paragraph from mat cleared it up:
The ones from motorsport.com just say they get half points. Carlos made a distinction that those points are counted differently. What gives you the authority to say Carlos was wrong?
No, I heard that, he said it is not an extra race, just that they are changing from having a Free Practice to having a Sprint that will give points, and then he follows that up stating those points will be their own category when you look at the point standings and that the podium’s would not count for the riders…
This sort of price gouging has to be a violation of the Franchise agreement with the Factory, and if not the Factories need to take a hard line on this and make it so, not just GM - FORD, Dodge and everyone else needs to get on this bandwagon to stop dealers from gouging above MSRP.
So can you clearly explain to me what was meant that the points from the Sprint would be in a separate running next to the Points from the Sunday GP races?
Well then the messaging from that interview is confusing as heck because the picture I got from it was that the sprint points would be a foot note on the main points and not impact the GP Championship. I guess we will have to wait on further clarification from Dorna and see how the riders react. Fabio is already…

Go to 1 min and 5 seconds in that video. He stats the points will not go towards the Main GP, they will be a notation next to the main points. There is a podium, but it is not a “real” podium for the historical data.
I will watch it again, but I am pretty sure he said in that interview that the sprint points would NOT count towards the GP Title race, that all sprint points would be on a secondary tracking sections next to the riders actual GP points. It sounded more like it was for bragging rights than anything else.
Not according to this interview:
I disagree. If Pecco, Fabio, Aliex and the other top tier riders decline to ride the sprint they will not be fired, and there is nothing in their current contracts with their teams that says they have to do it.
There is an easy way out for the riders, just decline to race the sprints. The points awarded are not for the MotoGP Title and the Sprints are not required to race on Sunday.
What is missing from all these stats is how many of these Auto Crashes are more the result of distracted driving rather than just speed. Speed is an easier metric to deduce. Skid marks can be measured, GPS data can be pulled etc.
