This. I would want this if it was bone stock. Would knock of a few thousand for the inevitable head gasket replacement. But at least you’d know it had been done right.

The Evo 6.5 or TME is my sought after vehicle to import. Mitu’s love letter to Tommi Makinen’s legendary consecutive wrc wins and what he did for the Evo as a whole. A slightly harder core Evo, complete with different bumpers, a wide body, I believe 17" Enkei white wheels and a titanium Turbined Turbo. From this

UK Market Lotus Elise S1. I know the Elise we got wasn’t too different, but there’s just something about the S1 that spreads a smile across my face. Might as well go with the John Player Special

J-90 Land Cruiser Prado with the 1KZ diesel

You’re not wrong by any stretch.  But no one can buy anything else you make if you don’t make anything else...

Absolutely, though they could have done what GM did and spend money to make it complaint. GM knows it’s truck customers still want a V8, and have taken the steps to make that possible. Even Ecoboost pushing Ford has kept it’s Coyote for now.

2nd Gear: While reducing the number of Brontosaurus-sized vehicles on the road would be better for safety (pedestrian and otherwise), reducing the speed limit is absolutely the easier regulation to enforce.

Yeah I thought it was fishy too. My guess is the “Global EV Drivers Alliance” is a community of people who are pretty into their EVs....

First gear: how does this parse with the McKinsey study that suggested 46% of EV owners would consider switching back to internal combustion cars? (https://www.motor1.com/news/724788/half-ev-owners-american-switch-gas/) I don’t presume that either is 100% correct, but this shift in six months doesn’t strike me as

It’s terrible, but you’ll feel like high-fiving someone afterwards. Plan accordingly.

When I was 15 shopping for my first car with my mom, we went to a subaru dealership to test drive a cheap little justy. The oil burning was so bad we had to turn around a block later. The cabin was filled with smoke and I had a massive headache. They still had the audacity to try and push for the sale.

“Hah, take that, the dealership!”

I keep forgetting that California is land-locked and doesn’t have a coastline.

The go-to answers will likely be Toyota and Subaru, but I have a different take:

I don't think anyone buys those Nissans because they WANT a Nissan. It's just a car people in certain situations end up with.

NP unless a thorough PPI reveals any major issues. Especially NP if the rod bearing were done preventively. A history of oil analysis would give context as to the remaining life on the bearings. The E39 M5 seems to be at the bottom of the depreciation curve.

I was on the fence, but the presence of that sub box makes me uneasy about the whole deal. CP

It’s def a styling choice, but tapered backs are mostly for aerodynamics to reduce drag and improve fuel economy.

I thought I was gonna be NP, but then I looked at all the pics. That paint job looks pretty hack, and it looks to be hiding some bad repairs. There’s probably rust, particularly around the windows and the windshield header. That’s gonna be a pain to fix.

Uh huh. I’ve got a 2016 XF with that same shit’ V-6 that returns 30+ mpg on the highway, doesn’t use a drop of oil, pushes a 3,800 lb car through the quarter in the low 13's, and is just as refined as the V-8 in my R129 Mercedes.
