I’m more of the “wreak havoc and make the fuckers pay” school of protest, rather than the “make myself suffer and watch them ignore me” train of thought.

I’m a big proponent of getting what you’ve paid for. A hunger strike is quite possibly the dumbest way to do this, however. Just get home and get a lawyer. You aren’t fixing the ship.

For reference, Stellantis lost almost half its net valuation this year, after recouping over 20 billion last year following the Covid/car production woes/global slump period. Their overall valuation is now lower than when Tavares started, although still higher than the year before. So his presence basically offset all

Is Nissan too big to fail in the US or do you think they will have to pull a Suzuki and completely leave the market to focus on their home market? That would be catastrophic to dealers here I think. I’m shocked to know that they are now behind Subaru and Suzuki.

They should let me be CEO, I’ll do just as good of a job in killing the company

One thing I will say about W is that he recognized, as a Texan who was very familiar with the owl bidness, was that the goal of energy independence wasn’t as simple minded as “drill baby drill.”

Between the rust, clutch and A/C this is much too high.

A 3 cylinder?

Then you’re gonna turbocharge it?

And then hook it up to a CVT?

For 45k?

Hard no.

I laughed at that statement, too...

No fuel efficiency data? I would think that is the second thing someone in this market looks at after price. I am especially curious how the little 3 cylinder did in your week of real world driving vs it’s EPA rating.

All things considered, and I mean ALL things considered; the Lexus LC is the best overall car on sale in the world.

Ah, well, I’ll have to make do with my 4C. I can’t imagine anyone’s ever said this before, but the 4C is more practical.

For me, if the bottom of the rear hatch opening is not level with the load floor, it is not a station wagon, but rather a hatch-back. Huge difference in functionality, although I doubt most buyers in the market for this are focused on loading functionality.

Surprisingly yes, to the extent that people are actually stealing the headlights off parked cars on the street to use as grow lights. I’m sure the place I read that was clickbait-ing it since it’s probably not some huge epidemic, but it does happen apparently.

I have to admit I kind of like the looks of the thing, but being an old I can't wrap my head around spending more than the price of my first house on a rapidly depreciating asset with considerable maintenance and repair cost in the near future (after end of warranty of course) no dice for me.

The cops already had their fun, they don’t need to be there for the legalities of it.

If I was in the market for a new 2 Series Gran Coupe, though, I would much rather buy a used 3 Series if I really needed four doors, or I’d buy a proper rear-wheel-drive 2 Series coupe.

Yup. Imagine the surprise when they excavate and find the dog is still alive.

In CA the black plates have a certain nostalgia as they were the only plate available into the 80s when they were replaced by the plates with the sun at the top. They made them available as an optional plate and they became very popular, particularly if you had an old car that maybe came with one originally.

You make it sound like the truck driver himself is at fault. Seems to me like that would only be the case if A) he owned the trailer and B) he didn’t properly maintain it. I imagine he’s an employee of the transport company.
