I do indeed understand emissions rules. What I’m saying is for a engine to be within 5 hp of a care made 26 years later is pretty good. Also, for a V8 at least, the better spec is that an Olds 303 made 263 lb-ft of torque at 1800 rpm.

“That 303 cubic inch V8 made an incredible 135 horsepower in 1949.” I don’t know if this is you being facetious but a 1975 Mustang II made 140hp out of a 302 cubic inch- so yes 135 hp in 1949 is incredible.
Well stealing means its free so...
Nah I’ve got out of too many things by officers skipping court day. I don’t want to penalize them for letting me off the hook.
I feel like the roof slope is the same as a Civic sedan:
For me having a FWD and a RWD vehicle both under the “2 series” moniker is confusing. Make it it’s own model.
I would just keep an eye on it the first time you charge it. Lot of news stories about e-scooters burning up.
Did it come with a charger? That obviously should be factored into the cost if it didn’t. Also how long for a full charge and will the battery catch fire while charging?
I actually think any change to a conventional cars hardware will raise the price. OEM’s will need to pay for additional crash testing and any change to an existing assembly line adds money i.e.- you have to swap the assembly line from cars with steering wheels and pedals to those without. Consistency in production…
The rear bumper alone is like $5k and that’s unpainted. If they had to do frame repair on top of that, plus all the paint then it is pretty easy to surpass the number to total.
Creeping around a house in Florida at 2:00 am? Bro’s lucky he didn’t get shot. Suburban Florida people are scared of everything and usually armed to the teeth.
Back in September? They don’t even wake up until after that ends.
“extensive use of aluminum in the unibody chassis and suspension” this is why they total so easy. Aluminum is very difficult to repair in comparison to steel. Not every body shop can repair an aluminum unibody or do the body work and panels on these. The paint is also super high end and requires a lot more work…
Oddly enough when Caddilac went back to names instead of the letters they decided everything should end with q. The kids love q’s I guess?
GM just lazily transitioning Saturn from a unique platform with it’s own engines to just rebaged Opel/Vauxhall’s. Saturn used to be pretty independent and set itself apart from the rest of the GM lineup. In the 2000's they just decided Saturn should be a vessel to bring over European GM products instead.
How about Montego?
I feel like Lexus did the same with the RX where they didn’t have a 3 row SUV yet (the Lexus TX) so they just made a long platform 3 row until the new model came out. Now the VW has the Atlas they don’t need a 3 row Tiguan
Interesting the German’s would give their crossover a traditional Japanese Mempo mask.
The Subaru Solterra. It is so embarassing to drive that I’ve never actually seen anyone drive one in real life. In fact I’ve never seen one anywhere. Subaru saw a sale on grey plastic cladding and said yes, we will take all of it.
