extensive use of aluminum in the unibody chassis and suspension” this is why they total so easy.  Aluminum is very difficult to repair in comparison to steel.  Not every body shop can repair an aluminum unibody or do the body work and panels on these.  The paint is also super high end and requires a lot more work

Oddly enough when Caddilac went back to names instead of the letters they decided everything should end with q.  The kids love q’s I guess?

GM just lazily transitioning Saturn from a unique platform with it’s own engines to just rebaged Opel/Vauxhall’s. Saturn used to be pretty independent and set itself apart from the rest of the GM lineup. In the 2000's they just decided Saturn should be a vessel to bring over European GM products instead.

How about Montego?

I feel like Lexus did the same with the RX where they didn’t have a 3 row SUV yet (the Lexus TX) so they just made a long platform 3 row until the new model came out.  Now the VW has the Atlas they don’t need a 3 row Tiguan

Interesting the German’s would give their crossover a traditional Japanese Mempo mask.

The Subaru Solterra. It is so embarassing to drive that I’ve never actually seen anyone drive one in real life. In fact I’ve never seen one anywhere.  Subaru saw a sale on grey plastic cladding and said yes, we will take all of it.

The Universal Island center console can be slid back seven and a half inches for easier access by the second row”.  That would give a little more room in between the seats but there’s still a pretty big hump there.

I feel like Kia could take this platform and lift it slightly and put some more aggressive tires on it to appeal to the offroad community.  It already has 7.8" of ground clearance, plenty of torque, and the ability to transfer power to any and all wheels.

It was actually all of Scion. They priced them low and they got great fuel economy. As it turns out those are things that older people really value so after a brief period where the average age of a Scion buyer was 35 it quickly moved towards 50 within the first 3 years of existence as older buyers just love them.

Interesting they used the 2nd row captain photo for the seats folded down shot. It really highlights that center console being right in the way of anything you want to put in the middle. The 3 row bench is definitely the way to go if you are moving stuff frequently.

I’ll give them this, it is rare to find a clean 4x4, manual, low mileage, F150.  That being said this is just too much money.

Just give me 1/4" drive 8mm and 10mm sockets.  They are the ideal stocking stuffer.

The 3.5 ecoboost Flex is definitely a sleeper.  With a little tuning you can make them fast as all hell.

My dad has only had Lincoln or Mercury products my whole life. That being said, every year the local Cadillac dealer would have some promotion where they would give you a gift basket for test driving one of their cars. One year we got a picnic basket for driving this very SRX. It was roomy, comfortable, and made the

In this house we say Happy Honda Days damn it.

I am glad this car exists but I absolutely cannot afford it.  Maybe I’ll be the 4th owner of one of these or something.

I think they should have a convertible version of the Daytona to make up for not making the Challenger a convertible.  That would be a good candidate for a large 4 seat convertible- though not in the spirit of the Sebring.

Ford should go back to making Probes instead of the NHTSA making them.

69 nice.
