Is the DOHC V6 good? I really don’t know much about the reliability other than it kept the timing belt (not chain) with the 100k service interval. The 1GR (4.0 V6) in the 5th Gen 4Runner puts out less horsepower (270hp) but more torque (278lb.-ft.) and has a timing chain.

Seems pretty nice. The 4Runner still has that back rear window that goes down and D-rings on the floor for tie down points- which this does not have. Curious to see what the fuel economy looks like. I’ve also got concerns about the long term reliability of Honda’s DOHC V6 as the previous generation just had a massive

Rust damage in the frame= automatic ND.  Add the wiring issues on top of that and we got a double ND.

The Charger SRT-8 would’ve been such a great car with the Challenger 6-speed.  I’m not even sure they’ve developed a manual trans in any model for the I6.  It would be also great in the Wrangler.

Absolutely.  The whole brand has been built around the HEMI for the last 20 years or so.  That is not an easy customer base to shift to EV’s.

It seemed absolutely crazy to me when they cancelled the beloved 300, Challenger, and Charger with no ICE replacement to directly follow. Stellantis put so much money into advertising the HEMI as a staple of their company and then abandoned their customers with nothing to replace it. The Daytona I6TT should’ve rolled

That’s the great irony in all this.  He negotiated the USMCA deal which replaced NAFTA.  He literally has to repeal and replace his own trade deal to levy tariffs.  It would require congressional approval to dismantle the USMCA which he could probably get but then what?

I’m not sure if Trump can execute tariffs on Mexico. It would violate the USMCA (which replaced NAFTA and was negotiated by Trump-he called it his “best deal”). If he wants to withdraw from the USMCA it would require congressional approval.

Honestly the differentiation they need is having buttons, knobs, and physical controls vs. BMW and Mercedes.  They have been trending towards haptic controls due to their VW roots and it is making them lose their customer base.  Audi used to have one of the best interiors.  They seem to have gone more and more down

I don’t know how much consumers dig into numbers for recalls.  A headline of “car recalled for potential fire” is probably enough for people to not want to buy it regardless of how many were actually effected.

Dang GM already lighting every last ounce of goodwill it had on fire.  I remember people writing about how they used the first Bolt buyback money to buy another GM product.  Wonder if GM will have to give out more cash as surely another fire related recall will tank resale value (again).

Jeep needs to hurry up and get out an EV or 4XE version of the FC concept.

Generally, I like turbo Volvo’s. This has the wrong transmission, is not a wagon, and is priced too high. ND

Does the 3.6 come in anything anymore? I thought everyone abandoned big 6's in favor of 4 cylinder turbos (Honda and Hyundai/Kia Crossovers and SUV’s aside)

They better keep the air drop tradition.  Deliver it via drone to my front door.  Jokes aside this thing looks like a great in between for the electric bike crowd and the heavy as hell and over contented electric motorcycle crowd.  A runabout doesn’t need much range and really doesn’t need to break highway speeds.  I

Probably recovering from the 1792 Unzen earthquake and landslide.  They were pretty isolationist at the time with only some American and Russian boats actually making contact.  1794 is just after the Kansei reforms where the Shogun pushed people to move away from the city and into the country.

Lot of good options. I’ll go with the 1946 Ford Deluxe. It was the first civilian car off the assembly line after WW2 that was gifted to Harry Truman from Henry Ford II in September 1945.

A friend of mine who was a recovered addict told me a story of how he woke up from nodding out not remembering parking in a corn field only to realize that he was actively driving at highway speeds through a cornfield.

Just pull into the Costco line in reverse.
