My dad has a a 2010 Mercury Milan hybrid. It routinely gets over 40 mpg. The MKZ would likely be similar.  Not a huge amount of maintenance on them and they are pretty comfortable.

tbh I haven’t had an opportunity to drive them back to back. Steering feel is probably better in the Fit since it still has hydraulic steering and I believe the newer Civics are all electric. Roadholding is probably better in the civic due to wider tires. I’ve driven a lot of Si’s (which Honda chose to not bless the

I know that, but I’m not going to spend any money on a car that I could buy equipped that way from the factory.  They made plenty of manual GT’s and if I were to buy a Mustang it would be that.

The big news for me is that a new Integra needed a top end rebuild.  Is an oil leak a common issue on these?  This is the same engine in the Si Type R which has been out for awhile now.  One would think any major issues would’ve been ironed out on this engine.

When I worked at Lincoln I would take out a Navigator on my lunch break just to have the cooled seats going.  Truly a game changer during the summer.

All 5 one touch up/down window switches.  Oh yea one of those is for the back glass-4Runner.

I saw the weight and was like surely this isn’t over 3 tons. Sure enough this thing is 6,173 lbs.  What the weirdest part is a 2022 Acadia is 4,155 lbs.  That is an absolutely staggering change.

When I was a tech we had a really scummy service writer who would sell all kinds of shit customers didn’t need (mainly flushes). As a tech there’s not much you can do about it except do the work that the service writer sold the customer. He eventually got fired and I’m sure it was for selling a customer work which

No manual, ND.  If I’m getting a mustang it better have a V8 and a manual.  This is only 1 out of 2.

Right, I thought surely this is just a typo in the byline but then they double down with it in the body of the article with a link that doesn’t mention anything about it being mid-engined (because it is not).

Right I would call the Fit (RIP), Fiesta (RIP), Yaris (RIP), Mazda 2 (RIP), and the Nissan Versa (still alive somehow?) subcompact.

50mpg is a big difference from 38mpg.  I understand the Camry is a larger car but that’s still a 12mpg gap.  I would also venture the Civic will have better performance numbers than the Camry probably looking fairly similar to Civic Si in terms of acceleration.

The limited-production mid-engine Mustang is lighter and faster with an optional Performance Package”

True, the super stiff sidewalls on run flats is probably to blame for grip, road noise, and ride quality.  That is to say that I’m sure this thing has terrible ride quality and will absolutely devour tires.

Shoot the Si is only 6.8 seconds? My ‘13 Si was around 6.5 seconds with the K24 in it. I’m not a huge fan of the 1.5t. Kind of wish they put the 2.0T in the Si instead of it.

True, this could very well just be union busting. That being said the reason there is oversight over the union is because of rampant corruption from the previous leaders (and the leaders before them). I would hope that the issues died with that administration but I have my doubts.

Conceptually this isn’t that different from the Ramcharger just with way worse architecture.  It’s just a series hybrid using a V6 as a generator- same as the Ramcharger and many other vehicles.  The difference with this is its only using 120v instead of the 800v system that newer vehicles use.  The 4.3 is actually a

the XS750 was called “the poor man’s BMW” at the time because it was a shaft drive sport cruiser.  In 1979 it had dual discs in the front and a disc brake in the rear.  Also the air-cooled 3 cylinder was a peach of an engine.  I also miss that bike.  My ‘03 Kawasaki ZR-7 was a lot easier to deal with as a daily though.

I’m pretty sure Shawn Fain is teflon at this point. He’s penned some of the biggest union deals ever with the big 3 so regardless of what corrupt stuff is happening the union as a whole will support him. You earn yourself a lot of goodwill with the workers when you get them raises and better benefits.

I’m still waiting for those profits to trickle down.  Should be any day now...
