Our trucks probably wouldn’t pass Euro regulations so that would be a big no from every American manufacturer.

It’s going to be a RAV-4. Although... A highlander GR also sounds interesting.  The Explorer ST sells really well so I think they have a good idea here.

Would any of these Chinese made cars pass U.S. crash tests?  I just don’t see much of a chance of a risk if China couldn’t produce a car that could legally be sold here anyways.

The framework for international space law was established by the Outer Space Treaty, which entered into force on 10 October 1967. This treaty precludes any claims of national sovereignty and permits all states to freely explore outer space.”  I’m confused by what your point was.  Did you read something or did you

I absolutely love this wagon and with a modern drivetrain upgrade (LS swap, modern transmission, Ford 9" rear) it would be a great daily driver or cruiser. That being said it is an 80's GM wagon and shouldn’t be anywhere close to $10k.

Overlander? Everyone wants to use that as a buzz word but based on the cabin size and the range I don’t see that as a real use case for this. It looks like maybe a 2 passenger or 2+2 design with very little cabin space due to the sloping rear. An overlander should have adequate room for all the gear that is required

Red reverse lights? That seems like a recipe for disaster.  Any time you can alert other motorists as to what you are doing you should do that.  Willfully making it confusing to others by changing reverse lights from clear to red because it looks better (to you) is silly.

Yes it is good to know when the water pump fails, however taking out the expensive ignition system isn’t the best way to do it. The low coolant warning should be enough of an indicator. Pretty much all cars have fail safes in the programming to put them into “failure effects management” aka limp mode if the sensors

Regulations are only effective if they can be properly enforced. It would be fun to see the Space Force go out and Space Arrest this dude. Either that or the military would have to intercept the rocket after launch which would mean they would have to kill an American citizen without trial and make the decision to do

I would probably say the Optispark design on GM’s LT1 V8. They put a distributor with an optical sensor for crank position pick up directly below the water pump. If literally anything blocks the path between the optical sensor and the laser the car has ignition issues. This means car washes, large puddles, and what

If I’m getting another MKIV it is going to have the VR6 so I’m a ND for this one.

Counter point, you can’t own space.

Well look at that, the 6 pack was actually pretty decent. I still think a properly tuned modern 4 barrel with a modern intake and headers would put out the same power and be less fuss but back in the day it was a pretty sweet set up:

I agree with every aspect of the Nissan Versa slide.  We got one as a rental in Florida and I have never felt so unsafe at speed.  I had a ‘93 civic hatchback that felt so much more grounded that a the 20 year+ newer Versa we were driving.  Most of the highway in Florida people drive 80+ mph and the Versa just can’t

IIRC the first gen Northstar was a terrible engine and very difficult to maintain, mainly due to this being GM’s early entry into the DOHC V8 and the complexities that come with that.

340 6 pack?  Or 440 6 pack?  I don’t think a 340 would benefit from that many carbs and that would be a lot complication to tune for no reason.

I just realized it’s $5k and Jalopnik already wrote aboute it

Did I say $1,000? Lol it is $5,500!

I wonder how much road spray and salt it’ll take to brick that Lidar system.  Hopefully a car wash won’t ruin it either but I’m sure they tested for that.

I had a ‘13 Civic Si with the K24 those are rock solid and a lot of fun.  Si would be my vote personally.
