Just to clarify about the spark plugs on the 5.4- This is the older 2V 5.4 that came in the F-series up to ‘04 and was replaced by the 5.4 3v.  The 2V has issues with the threads on the spark plugs which people attribute to two few threads on the head.  This issues can cause the plugs to blow out of the head.  I use a

I don’t think I would call a 1st generation Land Rover a coupe.

It’s annoying they take 16 spark plugs but otherwise I think they are decent.  The interior electronics will probably crap out though.  Not entirely sure how the rear coil springs will hold out long term vs. a conventional leaf spring rear either.

By the time the third generation Dakota came around 2005 model year, the truck was unique in that it was the only mid-size truck (besides the Dakota’s demon-spawn badge job, the Mitsubishi Raider) that offered a V8 engine option”

Looks like a bathtub with a fedora.

I’ve driven several generations of Civics for many years and could drive pretty much any of them for over 250k.  With the advent of bluetooth, back up cameras, and decent speakers in lower tier models I’m pretty set.  Modern Civic’s have far better sound deadening and NVH than what I’m used to as well so I think I

Right, well that’s why i specified the 2.0 and went even more specific to say 2.0 NA (naturally aspirated) as to not get it confused with the 2.0T in the Type-R.  The basic naturally aspirated 2.0 and manual will last pretty much indefinitely.

Do a Law and Order Criminal Intent version of Daredevil?  Sounds good to me.

The only Rotary engine that makes sense is something like what Liquid Piston makes. Their stuff is pretty awesome.

Honestly pretty popular as a taxi so you’re probably not wrong.  Anything that can take that kind of beating every day will probably last 300k or more.

2024 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback with 2.0 NA engine and 6 speed manual. I just picked the modern equivalent of the last car I had that went over 250k (a 1993 honda civic Si hatch-D16 with 5 speed manual). They look pretty good and just work. That’s the beauty of low trim economy cars.

Is there not a Crosstrek Hybrid?  I know there’s a 2023 and I’m not sure why they would drop it for ‘24.

I’m really surprised they even let y’all report anything on the Hulkster for obvious reasons.  Did the new company somehow forget why the previous one got sued out of existence?

I haven’t looked at the prices for these recently but considering that this will most likely outlast many other vehicles while also being more fun and engaging to drive for $24k I gave it a NP.  This is a practical car that is both reliable and sporty.  It also is one of the best looking BMW sedans in history IMO.

The 528e was a completely different beast than the 535i.  One was tuned entirely for fuel economy (which it was great at) the other was tuned for more sporting ventures.  The 528e is more relatable to a diesel engine in that the redline was super low and it got amazing fuel economy while still retaining decent

I hope the new Blade gets this as a hero car as a nod to the original Blade movie.

Agreed. Toyota is a long haul company and they do what’s best for the next 100 years of the company. People still buy lots of ICE vehicles and at this point in time from a business perspective producing only EV’s just doesn’t make sense. I would by no means say they are “all-in” on ICE because that would imply they

Rental cars on not solely used for vacations. A lot of them are actually rented by insurance companies for use while the persons car is in the shop. Most people request a like type vehicle to the one that is getting repaired (3 row SUV for a 3 row SUV for example). Also the time a rental car company holds onto a car

Honestly I love column shifters.  I had a Dodge Dakota with a column shifter and prefer anything with a bench seat to have a column shift.  I have a soft spot for old land barges- Town Cars specifically.

All the domestic big 3 had 3 on the tree shifters at points in time. Apparently a lot of foreign makes did as well including Mercedes, Peugeot, Nissan, and Toyota.
