Anecdotally I’ve seen a lot of Sheetz with Tesla superchargers on my commute.  The problem being there are maybe 3 charging stations and like 15 pumps.  It is going to take a lot more than 3 stations to meet demand.  Especially when the time it takes to charge an electric car far exceeds an ICE vehicle to fill up.

Well the big deal is that 34% or so of Americans do live in an appartment so for 1/3 people that’s kind of a problem. In NYC (the largest city by population in the US) 2/3 of the population rent, given not all of the rent is apartments, but it would take a lot of incentive for a landlord to install a charger for a

As much as I love these (I think they are the best looking iteration until the F-type came out) I had to ND when I read about the micro switches on the door being broken and the bald tires.  for $15K I would want those done.  Shame they never came with a manual in the states.  A 4.2 V8 with a 6-speed would’ve been

the Kia Niro starts at $26,590, although the ones around me are around $30k.  That’s before the EV credit though. So that would put it in your $25k range.

It is kinda of weird how Kia is overlapping into Genesis territory now in terms of price and content offerings. If Genesis wants to build brand cache then they should brand the higher level vehicles as Genesis so that they only deal with Genesis dealers. It’s similar to the Kia stinger in that it is an expensive

There is also a used EV credit up to $4000 but the rules are pretty specific

Yes it would. Used vehicles in general are a value because the the 1st owner takes most of the depreciation hit, this is especially true with EV’s. I’m assuming the study only used new car prices as used car average prices are harder to nail down and would probably go against the anti-EV lean of the study.

I would imagine a big factor in how we change things is the Americans with Disability Act which would be at quite an opposition to making places easier to walk and bike for people who can’t do either. Turns out that people who require wheelchair access don’t want to have park a mile away and “walk” to work or be

I would think you also have to factor in resale value in total cost of ownership. From what I’ve seen on Leaf’s and Bolt’s they fall of a cliff for resale value when compared to say a Corolla or a Civic. This is especially true for higher mileage EV’s no one bats an eye at a high mileage ICE economy box, as an EV

How much did it cost to install your in home charging station and did you factor that into your calculation? The cost to install an in home set-up is pretty variable ranging from $0 (new home came with 240v plug in the garage) to over $5,000 (new panel, new wiring, labor, etc.). Given that cost is spread out as long

Correct, OBD ports have PINs that are hot at all times. This means they are on whether the car is on or not. Could cause a parasitic draw on the 12v system unless you unplug from the OBD port (DLC) each time.

Ok that is new one.  lol

Chevy did the same thing, the 4.3 V6 is a cut down chevy smallblock V8.  It’s not uncommon, and it saves significantly on costs due to shared parts.

Oddly enough one of the best financial decisions I made was to lease a car. We leased a 2018 Forester 6 speed manual (1 of 3 in the whole state and the last year they were made) Ended up having a dealer pay us $3000 over what our lease buyout payment was and used that for our down payment on a CPO car.  You can make

At the time I started riding which was at least 10 years ago the lightest bike on the lot was the sportster 883 which is just shy of 550lbs.  They’ve since added some lighter bikes like the Harley Street but they’ve never been my thing.  There’s a lot of other standard bikes that I would prefer to HD.

Now that you have established bridesmaids as a unit of measurement for rear seat room you need to keep that going forward.  I’m not going to even look at the new Mercedes CLA unless I know it can fit 3 bridesmaids in the back.

how about the 1938 Phantom Corsair. Built on a FWD V8 Cord platform, used aluminum body work, supported by a steel tube frame, push button automatic doors, and all kinds of other weird stuff for the time. It was also funded using Heinz ketchup money!

As many riders have, I took my motorcycle safety training course at HD to get my motorcycle license. They give you a credit to buy gear from there and I think you could get a discount on a bike. I asked what the lightest bike they had at the dealer and it was over 600 lbs, (HD does make lighter bikes but they are hard

Keep in mind a Porsche 968 started at $41,743 in 1993 money which is funny because that’s around what a 1993 Supra also cost at the time.  If Mazda were to come out with a modern RX I would expect it to sell and compete with what a I6 Supra costs (around $52k).  Considering the A90 Supra is not selling well at all I

Problem with Mazda’s rotary is they built it the wrong way. Gotta build it inside out:
