The engine is super reliable. The carb/fuel lines can be problematic. You’ll probably spend some time here

I chose it as a fun daily driver.  The audio system is certainly a large factor in my car buying as it is something you use every single day within second of starting a car.  If a car doesn’t have good bluetooth connectivity, ease of use (manual knob for tuning and volume), and is hard to navigate it knocks it out of

Pretty much everything had some kind of tow hitch option. An American sedan could actually tow a fair amount due to body on frame construction and availability of essentially the same engines that were in trucks. Hell you could get a Olds vista cruiser wagon with a 455 big block.

The first time I looked at the head unit of the 86 and the first time I hit a pothole in one were what sent me to the honda dealer.  The ride harshness is just not meant for the mean streets of DelMarVa and the head unit felt a decade old when it was new.

I do think about the SI quite a bit but it is the SI of 2013. I cross shopped a few different cars and ended up deciding on a CPO’d ‘13 with only 700 miles on it. The shifter was smoother than any car I’d driven and the clutch was easy to modulate. The infotainment system had a knob for volume and tuner and connected

Yea I suppose they need the cash now to cover the hospital bills while the lawsuits are going through.  Kind of sucks that these people are going to have to go through a bunch of legal battles at the same time they are recovering from injuries.

I’ve driven a rabbit with the 2.5 and there is no way I would take that over my 24v 2.8 VR6.  That being said I have to agree with reliability being greatly improved from IV to V.

3rd to 4th Gen Caprice classic, first new body since 1977 and available with a detuned LT-1

Side note but the 1st to 2nd gen eclipse in 94/95 was a pretty big difference too.  Not car to crossover different but pretty big.

I’ll go with lincoln town car from 2nd to 3rd gen. The ‘98 still used the panther platform but got rack and pinion steering in ‘03, dual piston front brakes in ‘98 and a watts link to the solid axle, and standard rear air suspension. Not to mention the car looks completely different with the Mk8 style front end.

The cyclists should not have to set up a gofundme to pay for their medical bills.  This is a pretty clear tort and medical bills caused by the action of the guilty party should be paid for by the guilty party.  I’d also throw in attempted vehicular manslaughter in there depending on how it is defined in Texas.

I think of it similar to Mercedes’ acquisition of AMG. AMG was its own independent performance company that got gobbled up by Daimler in ‘99 and is now an in-house brand.

Here I did 20 seconds of work for everyone:

Doing a little cursory research it seems the big thing to do with the 3uz is to throw the supercharger from the mustang cobra on it and make over 400hp. Obviously you would need a manifold adapter, bigger injectors, new belt, ecu tuning etc. but that seems to be the way to go.

In what world is 20-30 percent of the population scant? That is 1/5 people at the low end.  In other words 76.44 million people or so (U.S. population/5)

What’s kind of funny is that electric car batteries make great solar power storage mediums.  I remember back in the day Nissan had an idea that after the end of the Leaf’s lifecycle the batteries could still be used as storage for power generated using wind or solar.

Why is a Mazda RX-8 indeed.

The AWD doesn’t appeal to me as I can’t see driving this in the snow or offroad.  For that price I can get like 2-3 decent ‘92-95 civic hatchbacks with twice the power and better fuel economy.  ND

I feel like the BRZ was designed specifically for static drop stance nation vape boi shit.

I believe the regular Civics are all open diff.  Have to wait for an Si for an LSD which is what you want anyways, also doubtful the Si will come in hatch.
