It was around $250/semester for my pass so yea that’s about the going rate

Offroad explorer now with the ground clearance of a regular forester.

It is already a big challenge to build and renovate government housing.  It’ll be a pretty tough sell to convince taxpayers to shell out for electric charging stations for govt. housing that probably will be underused anyways.

For me the big stumbling block to buying an EV is not having a garage and having no way to run a huge 240v cord out to the car.  A lot of places are street parking only especially in cities.  Your parking spot will change multiple times a day and there is no guarantee that there is going to be a charger available when

Not only did ford make the Focus EV, they also made their own charger for it!

What it is losing is a low priced commuter with a manual. The Si and Type R put the manual out of many people’s price range and only run on premium fuel with worse fuel economy. The corolla and the mazda 3 still offer a manual at this point that money is going to those. I know the take rate is low for manuals but

It is not just the current Gen, the SI has NEVER EVER EVER had an automatic, EVER.  Hope I cleared that up.

I kind of want that 4.7 Natural gas V8 from the charger concept now.

I’m with you, we always use the beach in NC as our use case for a crossover/road trip car and it needs to be able to clear the high sand and not act like a front plow. I would love a minivan with AWD that had the clearance for it but instead we have a forestor. Probably going 4runner for our next vehicle.

don’t forget the resonator delete

‘68 Thunderbird has to be on there for sure.

I had the more advanced 24v in my MKIV GTI.  Black on black with heated seats and the 5 spoke alloys.  The engine is silky smooth and has such a broad powerband.  I could be in 4th gear at 25mph and it would still accelerate no problem.

Throttle response these days is a matter of programming. Because everything is throttle by wire a tuner would just have to mess with the duty cycle to the throttle body motor to make it more sensitive to the the throttle position sensor input. Can’t fix the weirdness between power modes though.

I would seriously consider going with the next size bolt up (or even a metric one that is slightly larger) instead of doing the through bolt method with that throttle plate screw.  May get some weird whistling noise from the air flow over that nut.  Just retap it with whatever size bolt you go with.  The metal is

1. Always know where the fire extinguisher is before starting something flamable

The maintenance for diesels are generally on a longer cycle but more expensive.  So you may do an oil change less frequently but it will cost more to do.  Also, with a diesel you lose all the ignition related issues which are common on gas cars (no spark plugs, ignition coils, etc.)

A lot of that comes down to tires.  The hybrids and BEV’s come with narrow tires with a focus on economy.  Upgrade the wheel/tire combo and you will see a big difference.  I remember an article on a dude who swapped GTI wheels/tires on his BEV Golf and noticed a huge change in slalom speeed/G’s

I think some of the cost comes from vehicles like the Rav4 Prime where the hybrids are reserved for the highest option tiers. It seems a lot of manufacturers are pairing the hybrid option with the loaded trim levels. If there were a base model with the hybrid drivetrain they would be more affordable.

This is a very long article that could be summed by: this person was grooming children, the rest is irrelevant. He is a pedophile. It doesn’t matter how talented this person is, they are a predator.
