It doesn’t make sense to do this. They should at least get the same person to do the game and the movie if they appear in both for at least consistency reasons.

Story is important for me as well though the gameplay also needs to be at least tolerable. This is why I never finished Tales of Hearts R or Tales of Xillia 2. The stories were just plain awful.
I feel one of the reasons for this is that MMOs no longer encourage group play, but instead, punish it. Instances are timed with long cooldowns. Parties are not rewarded with increased experience or gold gains, even when gains are set to share. They rely on increasing the level cap rather than doing other things like…
For some reason, CGI Final Fantasy movie sounds like a bad idea. Then again, I’m sure Advent Children sold like crazy so there’s probably no reason not to do it again unless this one bombs like The Spirits Within
Someone higher up had to approve of the changes made to these games. I doubt it would be some public relations employee. It’s a shame that Nintendo did something like this.
The story and dialogue go up and down, which can be a problem. For me, FF4 had a good story, FF5 had a good story, FF6 had a good story, FF7 had a decent story, FF8 had a decent story, FF9 had a bad story, FF10 had a good story, FF10-2 had a bad story, FF12 had a good story, FF13 had a bad story, then FF13-2 had a…
It absolutely wasn’t necessary to make Corrin a dragon.
Fates has a reason for why they’re friendly to him. For Hoshido in Birthright, Corrin is their long lost brother/sister they’ve been searching for. For Nohr, Corrin is the adopted brother/sister they’ve known for ten years. Logic is completely thrown out in Revelations though.
I don’t mind if they break from the tradition of evil dragons. After all, Fates gives us the first example of a dragon that is not evil as well. Instead, these dragons stands opposed to the evil one (the dragons are not Corrin). The DLC explains Corrin’s heritage a little more though it kind of makes it an even bigger…
For me, Fates proved that they weren’t out of ideas. The idea that they had a child that was born in one kingdom, then abducted and raised in the other now has to deal with the consequences. They did away with weapon durability, something that was a long time staple of the series. Awakening changed a lot of things…
A lot of the English supports felt like nothing happened. The character’s don’t really get closer and few of them learn anything about the other person. It just ends as a “I love you” if you make it to S support. As a result, nearly every character feels flat and quite a few are treated as jokes. I don’t know how…
The plot never gets better. It gets worse in my opinion. However, support conversations in the English version seems to be worse than the Japanese ones based on the translations shown so far.
Localization can have an impact, in this case, character development that comes in the form of supports because that’s where we get most of the information about characters. According to the Japanese translations, a lot more character relationships are dynamic rather than static. In many of the Fates supports, I feel…
The thing is that when you translate a game, you want it to feel like they put effort into it at all and people feel that whoever translated the game did a bad job with Fates because of their random stylistic choices. Localization and censorship are two different things and by definition, the removal of content is…
If you make a shitty game, you’re going to get shitty reviews. They should be thanking reviewers for even bringing attention to their games. The fact that they valued “emotional distress” or whatever it is used is an example of how ridiculous it is. How is it that emotions are worth millions of dollars when a single…
I prefer yellow because of all the starters. For some reason, I tend to like the starters more than the others. I wish there was a remake for Pokemon Yellow though. It would be silly if I found out I missed it though XD
I dislike IF’s translations because of unnecessary changes to make it appeal to younger children.
To be honest, I don’t see the point of permadeath if people just keep save scumming until they get the results they want. It’s the same thing as going Casual.
There was only like a 30 minute window to order it as well. Since then it’s been unavailable everywhere. Kind of disappointing that Nintendo is pulling this kind of crap. What pisses me off is that both Birthright and Conquest don’t even have complete stories. They’re not even complete games.
I recommend Awakening. The Fates system is a mess and you’re going to have to get Revelation anyways if you want the full story. In Fates, it felt like they cut off an entire story arc at the end of both Birthright and Conquest.
